What if some of what we feel isn’t actually ours?

I’ve been thinking a lot about Dr Helané Wahbeh’s work at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, particularly around intuition, channeling and the possibility that consciousness may not be completely confined to the brain.

What if we are constantly exchanging more information than we consciously realise?

You sit next to someone on a train. You walk into a crowded room. You spend time with someone online. Then suddenly you feel drained, anxious, emotional, heavy, or simply “off”.

We usually ask, “What’s wrong with me?”

Maybe sometimes another useful question is:

Is this actually mine?

I’m not suggesting every physical or emotional sensation is somebody else’s energy. There can be completely ordinary biological and psychological explanations.

But I do think the question of energetic discernment is worth exploring.

Perhaps protection is not about fear.

Perhaps it is about knowing what belongs to you, what does not, and what you do not need to carry.

We still understand very little about consciousness.

Maybe we are more connected than we think.

Why do we always default to small talk when we meet someone?

Why not just ask:

“What’s your view on the idea that Earth was seeded by other beings?”

I’m proud that nobody truly knows me in my entirety. People know the version of Steven they work with, the friend they spend time with, or the practitioner they encounter.

Even I sometimes struggle to recognise who I once was. I have evolved, transformed and continually rediscovered myself throughout this human experience.

In just three years, since becoming a Reiki Master, then a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) practitioner, my life, purpose and understanding of consciousness have profoundly changed.

Carl Jung described the persona as the identity we present to the world. Yet beneath these roles exists something far deeper.

His concept of individuation reflects my journey. It is not about becoming someone new, but integrating every part of ourselves, including our shadow, and becoming more conscious of who we truly are.

I am not one fixed identity. I am an evolving human being, continually discovering, integrating and remembering who I AM.

I’m grateful for every soul who has crossed my path. Some remain, others belong to previous chapters of The Book of Steven. Every connection has brought lessons, growth and greater self-awareness.

We’re all souls having a human experience, learning, evolving and finding our own way.

Life isn’t meant to be lived in constant fear, judgement or separation. We’re here to experience it, connect, create, laugh, love and simply be.

The world will always give us something to fear, but we have a choice about where we place our attention.

Where attention goes, energy flows.

So be present. Enjoy the experience. Honour the lessons, release what no longer resonates and allow others the freedom to walk their own path.

Creativity and the Sacral Chakra Svadhisthana

Creativity is one of the ways I connect with and balance my sacral chakra.

Through colour, shapes, spirals and spontaneous expression, I allow my imagination to flow freely, without judgement or expectation.

The sacral chakra represents creativity, emotional expression, pleasure and the freedom to simply be.

For me, creating art is a form of energetic expression. Releasing control, embracing intuition and allowing whatever wants to emerge onto the canvas.

I don’t feel that this is something new. I think I’m simply becoming more aware of it.

I’ve noticed repeated moments where a thought enters my awareness and is then immediately reflected back through someone else’s experience.

I randomly asked a friend about his dogs, only to discover he was thinking about them at that exact moment. The following day, one of them unexpectedly needed hospital treatment.

I mentioned to another friend that they should expand their business, only for them to tell me they had already been thinking about it privately.

I even randomly referenced a completely different breakfast to a friend who had eaten the same thing for years. That morning, they had changed it.

Another time, I suggested increasing prices, and the response was: “Funny you should say that. I was going to ask you about exactly that.”

My belief is that thoughts, intentions and actions exist within a wider field of information, and that my sensitivity to that field appears to be strengthening through the work I already practise, including QHHT, Angelic Reiki, shamanic work, Akashic exploration and alchemical practice.

I am not claiming to understand the mechanism. I am simply noticing the pattern more clearly.

What feels different now is not necessarily the ability, it’s my awareness.
