I’m proud to share that our film has been officially selected for the Sunscreen Film Festival. @sunscreenffstpete

This project was built through a long night of hard work, collaboration, and people who truly cared about the story. What started as an idea turned into something real because of the dedication and talent of everyone who showed up and gave their best. We pushed all the way into the next morning, and every person on set helped make that possible.
Being selected for a festival like Sunscreen is an honor, and it belongs to the entire team who helped bring this film to life.

Last February I dropped everything 🎬🎭

I dropped improv shows, acting class/community/projects, and (paused) my agent. 40 hit me hard realizing I had life areas to attend to.

If your’re reading this I want you to know; it’s ok to take a break, it’s ok to “pause” (your craft, your dream)

And if/when you do, let someone or a couple someone’s know so you don’t get lost in the void.**

I was lucky enough to have let a couple someone’s know when I did..

Thank you both @eugbondurant and @maryrachel8 for being those someone’s and having my back when I thought I was a failure for “pausing”.

You both shared stories and words of encouragement that made me feel like it was going to be ok and that it didn’t mean I was “failing”… and then to welcome me back the way you did… Thank you thank you 🙏🏼

Thank you @hoganactor for supporting me from afar. And @jl.spicer for always having my back.

And bro, thank you @kevpace for inviting me to be in such a challenging scene. 🫰🏼🫰🏼 #actor #peformer #itsoktotakeabreak

When you’ve decided it will take as long as it takes 🎬

When I pulled into the parking lot, I saw the business building at USF where I got my masters degree. Little could I imagine 12 years later I’d be performing across the street. It was a moment.

What’s worse; suffering, or surviving suffering and not sharing the story?

Regardless of your background or your circumstances; everyone has “a story”. Your own version of how society or self imposed suffering has made you a survivor.

And not everyone will have a chance to tell the world about it. Maybe they drop their phone in the toilet, again. Or maybe they let win the lies they tell themselves..

1. It’s gonna sound like I’m complaining
2. I don’t want to be seen as a victim
3. They don’t really want to hear from ME
4. I don’t know how to express what I’m feeling or what I’ve been through
5. I’m still not even sure what I’m going through
6. I’m not .. enough to be saying Anything about this

A few years back I started a podcast to slay these dragons. I felt I was living a lie having been diagnosed with a mental illness in 11th grade and never telling anyone (outside my family) about it. The podcast gave me a way to share some of these lessons learned while finding others who found their way to doing the same.

And then I stopped. I let this list of lies creep their way back in and I’ve been hiding since.

Well that has changed. Having been invited to speak on one of @liverelentlesscoaching / @edygomez10 ‘s panels, I’ve realized how anxious I am to share and how much of the pain and stress I’m experiencing is not because of the symptoms themselves but because of my hiding and lack of expression.

I told that room and I’m telling you now. @mynicheishuman is back. Stay tuned 🎙️

Thank you for seeing in me what I almost forgot I had. For believing in me when I wanted to quit. And for being the brilliant, creative, philosophical dude who chooses art for the sake of art because it’s what you were brought here to be.

I’m proud of you and am here for what you’re building. Let’s play the game 🙏🏼
