October 10, 2026. I ran the Frightening 4 mile at York River state park. About one mile of walking path and 3 miles of single track bike trails. The weather stayed nice, even with the remnants of Isaias lingering. I did not see any familiar faces at this one, and no beer! I’ll have to make do with the snacks and candy. by @steverunsva

October 4, 2026. Crawlin’ crab half marathon. Cool, overcast and rainy, and humid, and that dew point… all in all in felt good at the start. It caught up to me at 7.5 miles in. A fun day overall, got to run with some of the cool kids, and jumped into those NGU group pics like I belong😁. Beer to finish the day with some great people. Thanks to all who were out there today, runners and volunteers! by @steverunsva

October 3, 2026. Crawlin crab 5k with @jandaracing at @thehrcc . The weather was great, cool breezy overcast with a light rain. Got to run with the cool kids. Onward to tomorrow and the half marathon! Let’s goooo! by @steverunsva

September 27, 2026. Second of the day with the Weighted Angels 5k @billsburgbrewery . Come support this one next year if you can! 2nd in my age group, but I’m not sure if there was more than two of us, so…I’ll take it anyway. Now I need a nap. @weightedangels by @steverunsva

September 27, 2026. Fiends frenzy 5k @buschgardensva @flatoutevents . Good morning for a run through the park. Got to see Valor ( I swear I have other friends but I only seem to get pictures with her!), Rusheene on her crutches while she mends, and several other lovely people. I did ok on time. Got a fun glow in the dark medal and a shirt. Hoping the shirt is glow in the dark too! by @steverunsva

September 26, 2026. The inaugural Run for the Stacks 5k, as part of the Williamsburg pancake festival. I walked out my door to a beautiful sky and great weather. Got some fun socks at packet pickup, ran from Billsburg into Jamestown and back, got the included breakfast sandwich with potatoes, a stout from Billsburg, a beautiful view while eating breakfast and a medal for third in my age group. A great start to the weekend! by @steverunsva

September 12, 2026. Mulberry island half marathon at fort eustis. I tried something new, and jumped in with a fine group of fantastic people. Hot and humid eventually wore me down, but I got it done. by @steverunsva

Running is better with friends. September 5, 2026. We all came out to support the 4-paws animal rescue. We got to see so many cute puppers. The weather was still a tad humid for me, but I felt pretty good throughout the run. by @steverunsva

August 22, 2026. Scout strong 5k at Sandy bottom. It was a busy morning. I needed to finish up my point 2 runs that morning at 7am, so I did a shorter 2 miles. Then off to Sandy bottom for the 5k at 8am, then had to add on 5 more miles after the 5k. It was hot. I was tired. Went to Busch afterwards for a beer reward. by @steverunsva
