Assingment #3 @school_of_song Feral Thoughts
Experiment w/ an open tuning. Drones. Just write. Don’t think about it. @adriannelenker is my idol for guitar and songwriting. Taking this class has been such a delight. #schoolofsong by @steveschaeffer

The title ‘First Meeting’ is based on a conversation I had with a good friend. They told me that something they say in AA is that the first meeting you have is always the hardest, but the good part is you only have to do it once. This EP was an attempt to rip out as much as I could as fast as I could so I wouldn’t have time to think about it, qualify it, or judge it. Which was, you know, terrifying. Thank you’s: @school_of_song and @ithinkimphil for giving me just enough confidence/ audacity/ permission to produce and release something on my own. @tariqshihadah for his sage advice and kindness and hand holding while mastering these tracks. Also, Book him to produce your stuff. He’s so talented, but also, the man is if chamomile tea wore a cardigan. @morganpaije w/ @ferrinsquare for literally laying on the gravel of my alleyway with a go pro to get these excellent promo photos. Last but not least my brother @joeschaef who is responsible for the way cooler than I deserve cover art. Getting to collaborate with him on this was one of my favorite parts. And also, how lucky am I that my brother happens to be a world class graphic designer? Also, honorary mention to the unnamed subject of the cover art. Idk who they are but I can just tell they are beautiful and strong and don’t take shit from anybody and probably are very generous with their Amazon prime subscription. Alright. I’m done. It’s out. Like and subscribe. Stream it everywhere. Idk man. I’m happy. Like the proverbial groundhog, we are back, telling you to wait just a little longer (Thanks Phil). We are stronger, faster, smarter, wiser, and more spiritually swole than before. And we are excited to share with you big things, in due time. For now, enjoy some thoughts from the gang and a random piece of art that definitely doesn’t mean anything. by @steveschaeffer

Just dudes being guys. A pic from the beginning of the year, our cheesy smiles are a great representation of how we feel going into this last quarter of the year. Writing new tunes, playing some exciting shows (tix in bio for 9/25!), and living life the best we can. Anyone want to chat/gush/learn covers of Silksong/Hollow Knight music, I’m (Lukas) so down. Currently absorbing Silksong through osmosis. #chicagomusicscene #silksong #infrared #runninglife #selftape #marceline taken in Chicago, Illinois by @steveschaeffer

Played to a sold out audience. And by audience I mean a tax payer funded street. And by sold out, I mean they spent all their money on the various commerce stations of Andersonville and tipped me with a lot of finger guns and thumbs up. Hell yeah summer. Hell yeah Andersonville. Hell yeah to the person who gave me the 5 dollars while filming. Hell yeah @ptacek.lukas on his birthday and @shanmbrick yesterday. taken in Andersonville by @steveschaeffer
