I’m deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the incomparable @dollyparton.

I had the great pleasure and privilege of producing Dolly, and anyone who ever had the opportunity to work with her knows that the extraordinary talent the world saw was only part of what made her so special. She brought warmth, humor, grace, and an unmistakable light into every room she entered.

Dolly was truly one of a kind: a brilliant songwriter, a remarkable artist, and a beautiful soul whose music and generosity touched generations of people around the world.

I feel very fortunate that our paths crossed and that I had the opportunity to make music with her. Those are memories I will always treasure.

Rest in peace, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the laughter, and the love you gave to all of us.

I will always love you,
Steve

Today marks my 7 year work anniversary!!

@stevetyrell you have been such a shining light in my life and I am so grateful to have you in it.

We’ve had some pretty incredible adventures together: performing at Café Carlyle, The Jazz Cruise and in Monteverdi, Tuscany, to name a few. I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.

You’ve always said that you graduated from Bacharach University, and I feel honored to have attended Tyrell University.

You’re one of a kind and I couldn’t have had a better education in this business than the one I’ve received from you.

God Bless you, your family, and everyone who has made me feel welcome in your home and in your lives.

You’re one of my best friends and I’m beyond honored to have you in my life.

I love you, man. 🫡🥂

Hi everybody, I just heard the sad news about the passing of my dear friend, John Sterling.

John had a voice that was unmistakable, larger than life, and full of joy for the game. Some of my fondest memories are during those winter nights when he’d come by to hear me sing at @cafecarlyle . He didn’t have to be there, but he was. A true fan of music, and a loyal friend.

Off the mic, he was everything you’d hope: kind, thoughtful, and always ready with a smile and a story. We shared some wonderful evenings, and I’ll always be grateful for that time.

To my @yankees family, and to everyone who grew up hearing his voice… my heart is with you.

Rest easy, John. You called it like no one else ever could. 🎙️

I’m deeply saddened by the passing of my friend, @neilsedakamusic.

Neil was one of the truly great song writers of our time, a brilliant craftsman whose songs became part of the soundtrack of our lives. But beyond the hits and the accolades, he was a gracious gentleman and a dear friend.

I had the great joy of recording a duet with Neil on my Brill Building album, That Lovin’ Feelin’, where we sang his beautiful classic, “Laughter in the Rain.” Standing beside him and sharing that song was a moment I will always treasure.

We shared a deep love for great songs and the timeless tradition of storytelling through music. I will miss his warmth, his humor, and that extraordinary talent that made the whole world sing along.

The world has lost a legend. I’ve lost a dear friend.

Rest easy, Neil. The laughter and the music will live on forever.

~ Steve
