It is with a broken heart that I share the passing of my dad on September 11th.

Steve truly loved life and always knew how to have a good time. To Jackson and I he wasn’t a normal dad. He was right there with us acting like one of us. My mom always said she had three kids because we always filled the house with so much fun and laughter.

He truly thought he was one of my friends, always asking me when we were going to Tigerland and who he would get to see if he came along. If you ever met him on one of our nights out or simply as one of my friends you know exactly what I mean.

But most importantly he loved his family. Every time I fell (i fall a lot) he would tell me “I never let you skin your knee til you got to high school”. That’s just who he was, always looking out for us even when he was making us laugh

His proudest moments, besides the ones on the golf course, and his greatest happiness came from spending time with the people he held close to his heart. He found so much joy in being surrounded by people he loved

I will miss my Daddy-O but his playful spirit, the memories we made, and his unconditional love will stay with us forever
