@1904_bistroamericain together with @hennessy kicked off a new season of Sunday Sessions this last Sunday in Kloof at our beloved 1904 😝. The event is perfect for end of the week unwinding , and connecting with friends & community over good music every first & last Sunday of the month from 2pm. 📅
Spent last Sunday being silly goofy with my people and socialising with everyone 🥹 And with the sounds of 3 Step, Afrotech and Piano carrying us through from the afternoon to the evening , we obviously had a time ❤️‍🔥

There are also 3 course meals, an array of delicious sharing platter and drinks specials available on the day as well as ☀️

Bookings are essential as space is limited , make sure to secure your spots for the next instalment month end 🫧.

3 years of crafting could only result in a perfected body of work! This album consists of a hybrid of the sub-genres that exist within rap but mainly my favourite type of South African hip hop - soulful, melodic and meaningful. music that genuinely touches the heart , lyrics that carry meaning and melodies that are meticulously composed and produced. The way this guy plays with vernac is absolutely unheard of and is genuinely my favourite thing about his music. I love an album that takes you on a journey, through skits and interludes , and from this intro I was sold.

things I learnt during pregnancy post 👶🏽🩵😋

- Woman are spectacular. God chose us to be the literal CARRIERS of life.
- Appreciate being able to sleep/chill on your stomach. I slept on my side for 280 days. 😭
- The value of friendship. My pregnancy was during the season that God put me into isolation so I was alone and very lonely. My friends tried to be there for me as best as they could virtually and that made all the difference ❤️
- The support you get from your partner plays the BIGGEST role in your pregnancy experience. @_ndxma and I lived in separately while I was pregnant and only moved in together after we got married. But there wasn’t a single day he didn’t show up for me. He single handedly carried me through that season. I’ll genuinely never forget that ❤️
- Educate yourself! I attended @hillcrestbabyclinic prenatal classes and invested in pregnancy podcasts! I used to listen to @isitnormalpodcast before bed and it was so comforting and informative ☁️. And @nowweretalkingbaby was So relatable and it was so exciting watching Emily & Cams journey 🥺🩵
- Read the maternity benefits of your medical aid. What EXACTLY do they cover 🧐? THERE ARE HIDDEN COSTS. Find out what they are before you incur them. I was so traumatised when I got a R10000 invoice for i was sure medical aid was paying for. 😭 oh d*scovey babe 😞
- The cravings phenomenon isn’t a phenomenon. When I hit the 2nd trimester, all I wanted right till the end of my pregnancy was a Nduja from @pizza.shed and the chorizo tacos from @sanookcantina . These places are both 1000/2000 km away from me. I never satisfied either of those cravings and it crushed me every day 😭, till now 🧍🏽‍♀️
do NOT quit the gym 😭
- Take pictures and videos. As many as you can 🥺.
-God, Yoh! I spoke to God every single day, thanking him for trusting me and asking him for wisdom and strength for the task ahead. I blacked out when I was 35 weeks pregnant. my blood pressure was sky rocketing and I was rushed to the hospital while I was having a panic attack all at the same time, but God was faithful 🌹🌹

(I’ve run out of characters to keep typing 😔)
