A post I should've made months ago!

For those of you who don't know, i'm Rachel. I knew from a young age I have always wanted to work with animals in one way or another. I found myself working at a local animal shelter and when I was 21/22. During my time there, I really learned the ins and outs of animal behavior and I took a big liking to "problem" dogs. The misunderstood and the anxious.
Eventually, I moved onto VetMed, working in a boarding/kennel department. I was able to work with my community, caring for their pets and building relationships with clients. Building relationships is everything to me!
While I have since left VetMed, my passion for caring for pets has not stopped. I have been on Rover since May 2023, working around locally. Since starting Stick 'N Pup, i've been all around the upstate, meeting new pets and people and I love every second of it. I thrive off of routine.
I get questions, mainly where the name 'Stick 'N Pup' came from. I love spending my fall/winter months watching the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and the Carolina Hurricanes. Hockey has slowly consumed my life, but it's something I really love. Stick 'n puck is a term for a pickup game of hockey, practicing your skills on open ice. I thought Stick 'N Pup was different and it combined the two things i love; caring for animals and hockey!
Outside of pet sitting and yelling at hockey games, I enjoy spending time with my family, making art on my ipad and training my dogs! I am no professional when it comes to dog training, but I think teaching them to do silly tricks is fun and we enjoy it together. My two dogs are Polar Bear (left) and Koda (right).

I have a passion caring for animals and I love being able to reassure my clients that their pets are safe, happy and comfortable while they're away. If you're looking for a local, reliable pet sitter, I would love to be the person you call!🤍🐾 taken in Travelers Rest, South Carolina by @sticknpuppetsitting
