Maybe it’s the fact that gaming feels like a long lost love of mine. I was scolded for playing games for most of my life so being able to finally do it as an adult on my own terms and actually immerse myself in it feels completely different🤓

There’s something strangely peaceful about finally getting to enjoy something you’ve wanted to enjoy for so long.

Funny how we go through these changes as we grow up. Our perspectives shift. Our views on people, relationships, work, culture and life itself evolve.

For me even my relationship with music has changed. Why I make it, what I want from it and what it means to me now are very different from what they used to be. I’ve found a different purpose in it and because of that I feel like I can keep creating for a long time without getting bored or burned out.

Even small things change. I used to love wearing all black when I was younger. These days I find myself drawn to a bit more color. Funny how something as simple as that can reflect a bigger shift happening within.

There were times in the past when I felt helpless and lost in my own thoughts. Looking back all it really took was time. Time to process things, gain perspective and grow. Eventually the answers showed up.

Turns out sometimes it’s just a matter of time. The solution eventually reveals itself and somehow we find a way forward.

I think that’s also why the music I release going forward will be quite different from the Skinypop you’ve heard before. Not because I’m trying to reinvent anything but because the things I’ve experienced, learned and come across in life naturally find their way into the songs. In a lot of ways the music reflects who I am and who I am today isn’t the same person I was a few years ago.

So yeah, things change. And maybe that’s not such a bad thing. by @still.abhinav
