After 15 years away, I’m finally back in San Diego and asking one question: does it still taste like home? Episode 1 is my story. The rest of the series belongs to the people of San Diego carrying something forward: a family tradition, a recipe, a business keeping our stories alive. Please watch (all the way through), like and share… it helps the series grow 🧡

Tell me: what meal reminds you of home?

I’m so excited to share that my new series “Does It Still Taste Like Home?” drops TOMORROW! It’s my return to San Diego after 15 years away, but it’s not just my story.
Over six episodes, I’m bringing you along to meet the people & families who are carrying “home” with them in their own way. I’ve been pouring everything into this series over the last few months, so it would mean the world to me if you’d subscribe at @jobethdeveratv on YouTube (link in bio) and tap the 🔔 so you don’t miss a single story. New episodes drop every other Friday. Thank you for your support always 🤎

I went back to Tijuana to finish my crown. Total: $575. My quote in the U.S. was $1,500. 🦷🇲🇽
Over 132K of you watched Part 1, and the question I got most was “but is it actually good?” So I took you with me for Part 2. I learned that the crown itself is handcrafted in Ohio by @mizrachidentallab. U.S. quality at a Tijuana price.

Send this to someone who has been putting off the dentist because of the cost.

To book: @drdaliadental or call (619) 752-9030
Comment “TJ DENTIST” & I’ll DM you the details

Paid partnership with @drdaliadental and @mizrachidentallab. Prices reflect my own visit. Yours will depend on your treatment.

Got to sit on the Entertainment & Storytelling panel at @bridgethegapsd’s Creative Summit this weekend and what a blessing it is to be able to share my story and what I’ve learned in newsrooms for the last 15 years, and how I apply it to @stilleatinggoodmedia today. Grateful to BTG Team for the platform and the room full of Filipino American creatives building their own paths 🙏🏽

New series ‘Does It Still Taste Like Home?’ coming October 9th, stay tuned 👀

Backstage at @petcopark, minutes before @questlove and @theroots hit the stage with Nas and De La Soul. We get deep into imposter syndrome, self-sabotage, what actually grounds him, and what “still eating good” means to him. Full episode is live now, link in bio. 🎙️

@JOBETHDEVERATV IS SPEAKING AT CREATIVE SUMMIT! 🇵🇭

Jobeth Devera is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, producer and founder of Still Eating Good Media, an independent studio building story-driven videos for brands, businesses, and organizations that want content people stop for, not scroll past. For 15 years, she’s traveled and worked in newsrooms all across the U.S. and spent her career asking one question: How do you make people care about a story?

Today she brings that experience and journalistic instinct to Still Eating Good Media, where Jobeth produces, films, hosts, writes and edits stories from concept to final cut. Her work lives at the intersection of food, culture and community, with a particular passion for amplifying Filipino American stories and the people behind them.

After 15 years away, Jobeth recently returned home to San Diego with her family. She is currently developing a new Still Eating Good original series, Does It Still Taste Like Home?, which takes her back to the people, places and food memories that shaped her upbringing, and explores how they’ve changed, and what still feels like home.

@sintabyselly just opened in Chula Vista, and it’s the kind of Filipino bakery that doesn’t need to explain itself to anyone who grew up with these flavors. @diyselly built this for us 🙌🏽🇵🇭 Go taste something that tastes like home 🤤🧁
