Some things to look forward to this month.

The best plans don't always have to be big. Sometimes, they're simply an excuse to get out, try something new, and spend a little time together.

This month, there are plenty of opportunities to connect, learn, explore and share an experience with someone you love.

Bring your parent.
Bring your grandparent.
Bring your partner, friend, or someone you've been meaning to catch up with.

Because experiences are better when they're shared.

StillMe is here to make connection feel easier, warmer, and a little more fun.

You’ll find things to do, local spots to check out, activity ideas, and thoughtful inspiration for spending more meaningful time together.

But more than that, this is part of a bigger shift toward making aging feel more social, more fun, and less isolating.

We believe in bringing generations closer, making space for real connection, and celebrating all the awesome parts of getting older.

We’re your new go-to for shared experiences, fresh ideas, and a more open conversation around aging.

A space where people can feel less alone, more included, and part of what’s going on.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run!

Whether you walked, ran, volunteered, cheered from the sidelines or helped make the day possible, we’re so grateful you showed up.

Even with the snow coming down, our community came together to support people living with dementia, their care partners and families across Calgary and surrounding communities.

It’s because of you that we can continue providing vital programs, education and support to those who need it.

Thank you for showing up, showing your support and reminding us what community is all about.

We couldn’t do this without you. 💙

Getting older means the conversations change.

One day you're talking about weekend plans, and the next you're comparing protein intake and debating the merits of magnesium. 😂

But getting older doesn't mean we have to stop having fun, trying new things or making time for the people we love.

We can do both.

So whether you're looking for your next adventure, a new place to explore or just something fun to do together, check out the StillMe Community Calendar.

Sometimes, the hardest part of noticing a change is knowing what to do next.

It can be easy to brush things off, especially when there’s fear around what they might mean.

And there’s still a lot of stigma surrounding changes in memory and thinking. Some people worry about what a diagnosis could mean. Others may avoid talking about it altogether because they’re afraid of how they or someone they love might be treated differently.

But avoiding the conversation doesn't make the uncertainty go away.

Knowing gives you options.

It can give you the opportunity to ask questions, understand what’s happening, explore available support, plan for the future, and make informed decisions about your health and wellbeing.

And here's something important: changes in memory or thinking aren't automatically a normal part of getting older.

There are also things we can do throughout our lives to support brain health. Research suggests that addressing modifiable risk factors could help delay or prevent a significant proportion of dementia cases.

So if something doesn't feel quite right, don't let fear make the decision for you.

The earlier you know, the more you can do.

When you give to the Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run, your support stays close to home. 💙

Every dollar raised helps provide local programs, education, and support for people living with dementia and the families and caregivers walking alongside them.

Your donation helps make things like one-on-one system navigation, caregiver support, community programs, and resources available to people in Calgary and the surrounding area.

Last year, more than 2,000 participants came together to raise over $400,000.

And every dollar helped turn that support into something tangible.

Care. Connection. Real impact, right here at home.

Dementia can feel like a journey you have to navigate on your own.

But no one should have to go through it alone. 💙

The Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run is an opportunity to come together, share space with people who understand, and remind each other that support exists within our community.

For some, it’s a chance to honour someone they love. For others, it’s a way to show up for a friend, family member or caregiver. And for many, it’s simply about being part of a community that cares.

Every step helps create more awareness, understanding and connection for people impacted by dementia.

Whether you’re walking, running, or cheering from the sidelines or showing up for someone you love, there’s a place for you here. 💙

Sometimes, one of the most powerful things you can hear is: “I understand.” 💙

A dementia diagnosis can bring a lot of uncertainty, questions and emotions.

For people living with dementia and those who care for them, it can sometimes feel like no one else could understand what they’re going through.

Then you show up and see a community of people who get it.

The Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run creates a space to meet others who have faced similar experiences, share stories, find support and start conversations that can make the journey feel a little less isolating.

It’s a reminder that there are people who understand, resources available to help, and a community ready to stand beside you.

Every person who shows up brings their own story, their own reason and their own connection to dementia. Together, those stories become something bigger: a community where people feel seen, supported and like they belong.

Everyone has a reason to show up. 💙

For a parent. A grandparent. A partner. A friend. For someone we’ve lost, someone we’re caring for, or someone who simply shouldn’t have to face dementia alone.

The Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run brings all of those reasons together in one place. Different stories. Different journeys. One community.

Whether you’re walking, running, volunteering, cheering, or donating, your support helps make Calgary a more compassionate place for people impacted by dementia.
