Beeeeeehold, my first critique for my first year at Cranbrook 🌹

(i havent named this installation yet)

For my first critique EVER I showcased my studio(which is also my first studio outside of my living room floor). The installation was created to invoke the feelings of a vision, a memory, an answered prayer… I want the viewer to feel inside and outside…of space, time, feelings & thoughts. I want this to be a resting space, a place for joy, a place for God. I wanted to showcase the vision i see for my American Dream…my white picket fence…

I have so much more to say but my feelings are what is at the forefront. What I can say is I feel BLESSED, and I pray that my artwork can be a blessing to others. 🥹

This is a working installation so if you would like to come see it, I am open for studio visits. 💐

These last 7 weeks have been a beautiful whirlwind 🌪️ and a wave of emotions. 🌊

More coming soon…

As we wrap up the 2026 AHSID IReclaim Summit @theahsid 💜 I want to reflect on 2025. Seeing the way my good sis @whoisivanna shows up every year and create these timeless, curated and impactful experiences is nothing but inspiring.

Working with a production team full of my 10+ year friends & peers is a blessing.

I leave every year filled with love. I am proud of Jasmine, I am proud of the HS WARRIORS! I am proud to tell the story of the HS WARRIORS for @theahsid.

Will share 2026 soon ✨ by @stillstostory

“And So They Grow”
2026
Mixed Media
Cardboard, Plaster, Dried Leaves

This piece is inspired by the culmination of my Teaching Artist Residency with @projectartusa and @detroitpubliclibrary 💕 For the past school year (sept 2025 -june 2026) I have created & executed social and emotional learning through free Art classes twice a week at the Main Branch. I taught ages 4-12. 🌷

The experience was filled with growth, love & discovery. At the end of the program we have an Art showcase featuring the Teaching Artists work along side the students from the participating Libraries.

While conceptualizing what I wanted to create for the final showcase. The idea of creating something that represents the
amount of admiration I have for my babies seemed like 🤯

But when I thought about my time in the simplest tense…the students are my flowers. Through our time together I have been watering them. The vines are the lessons I taught them that will grow and flow as they do. The clouds represent the dreams that I pray they always strive to reach.

Thank you @projectartusa & @detroitpubliclibrary for having me, creatively stretching me & trusting me with these brilliant young minds. I feel blessed. by @stillstostory
