Beeeeeehold, my first critique for my first year at Cranbrook 🌹

(i havent named this installation yet)

For my first critique EVER I showcased my studio(which is also my first studio outside of my living room floor). The installation was created to invoke the feelings of a vision, a memory, an answered prayer… I want the viewer to feel inside and outside…of space, time, feelings & thoughts. I want this to be a resting space, a place for joy, a place for God. I wanted to showcase the vision i see for my American Dream…my white picket fence…

I have so much more to say but my feelings are what is at the forefront. What I can say is I feel BLESSED, and I pray that my artwork can be a blessing to others. 🥹

This is a working installation so if you would like to come see it, I am open for studio visits. 💐

These last 7 weeks have been a beautiful whirlwind 🌪️ and a wave of emotions. 🌊

More coming soon…

I came here for L❤️VE.

It was a blessing to witness the true love of my brother and best friend Joshua’s mother. 😘 Such a beautiful ceremony filled with happy tears and well wishes.

From the moment I met Josh at 18 at Abercrombie & Fitch I knew I would love him forever. Josh and his mother have lovingly welcomed me into their extended family with open arms. We’ve laughed together, partied together, cried together, and loved on each other.

I love them, I love black love, I love memories like these. ❤️

Cheers to the Scotts 🥂✨ by @_jasminegraham
