Me and my perfume. Grateful for everything. For summer. For life. For death. For city and nature. For music and poetry. @moacronheden took those for an interview for a substack in Australia which is my new little favorite, Reservations. It’s about love and favorite books etc. I didn’t mentioned it in the interview but I’m also obsessed with The Lover by Marguerite Duras. Perfect bcs you can also finish it in one day. For Valentines I wanted to create a layering love story between two of my perfumes, Boy of June and Santal Beauty. If you haven’t tried layering them together you should, it’s such a powerful (and loving) combination.

The love story, in four acts:

Santal Boy
A layering love story, a tribute to the powerful layering combination of Santal Beauty and Boy of June.

Part 1: The Touch

Boy of June was all fresh air and restless edges, the kind of presence that makes you look twice.
Santal Beauty whispered vivre and touched his hand, impossible to ignore.
They met in the space in between, and the air shifted.

Part 2: The Dance

Santal Beauty moved slowly, confident, leaving a scented trail for the boy to follow.
O boy did he follow, pretending he wasn’t, but santal already knew.

Part 3: The Night

One night, the city went silent enough to hear their hearts. Santal Beauty leaned in, with saffron and bamboo. Boy of June gave in, bright, bruised, beautiful. Together they had a secret.

Part 4: The Morning

Morning came, but neither of them left.
Santal Beauty stayed grounded, Boy of June deepend. And yet, this was only the beginning.

I reached out to Hanna (@hannahansdotter) in the fall of 2023 and was incredibly happy and honored she was open to collaborating. This piece is a true fusion of our artistery.
