I press myself against the window on the second floor and my nose and chest flatten; I become a 2D drawing.

My friend says she works with the “back-end” part of a computer. I turn my knitting sample over: purl, knit, back-end, front-end.. We are only interested in the front, the surface and I start feeling more comfortable in the two-dimensional world

Dear diary, I flip a few pages back and dictate onto my phone a page from my dramatic teenage days in 2013. I print the sound waves from the file, laser-cut them into wool, and they now form a secret language of digital waves that used to be feelings and thoughts.

Every day on my phone, I keep track of where my friends are. They spread out like small dots across Copenhagen, and from their movements they generate polka dots. In Berlin, I use the pin in Google Maps to save the places I like. They sit in a folder called “Berlin.” With a felting needle, I fasten circles into the wool, and it now resembles a heat map of places I have once been. by @stineratched

Graduate collection BOUQUET OF DIGITALIS reflects on what it means to grow up between the analogue and digital worlds. Inspired by personal observations, the collection explores how technology shapes both the body and the mind, balancing fascination with uncertainty. Knitting machines, digital weaving, handmade processes, natural and artificial textiles, and plant-based alongside chemical dyeing create a dialogue between human touch and machine precision. Through this interplay, the garments examine the evolving relationship between nature and technology, inviting a closer look at the systems that quietly influence how we live, create, and connect.

I am writing on my bachelor project and my computer crashes, there is a bug in the system. In a moving box a moth has unraveled my wool sweater. I dye the wool with cochineal lice, which gives a strong pink color. I dye the silk in acid turquoise, and together they resemble the glitch that appears just before my computer truly shuts down. The colours are 50/50 natural and artificial, just like the two disrupters; the computer bug and the moth.

With the knitting machine I can make controlled glitches in the stitches. I develop the technique with knitmaster @thildemarienjc

I walk through the streets of Paris, and when the day is over, I can see in my tracking app the patterns of my routes, as if I had a thread trailing behind me.

I kept tracking myself for 20 days in December and today I embroidered all the routes into a dyed silk, making this Tracksuit.

Today I realized that I am a product of the turn of the millennium; an entanglement of technology and the human, a 50/50 creature of digitalization and the analog. My brain is set up like a soft hard drive, my heart beats in rhythm with the blinking router.

I take a picture of my shirt, print it on plastic and lasercut it as sequins. It is now imitating what is once was, reduced to be only a photo, made out of fragmented pixels. Squares are the symbol of digital. Circles are the symbol of analogue.

I take a flash selfie in the elevator mirror, print it, cut it, weave it together by hand, and then weave it on a digital loom. The more times I unravel and reassemble the image, the more I can see the squares and threads which all images are made of.

There will always be a bug in a system, some kind of disrupter, whether it’s a digital one or in a textile. I am colouring with cochenille lice, which makes the blue denim pink
