Growing up in Kc how could you not know about Aldon Smith. I remember committing to Missouri and Coach Kool showing me this guy. He set a standard that was the start for D line zou. Everyday I walked in the Matc I was driven by the pictures of him on the first rounds wall to be great. I wanted to leave early and be a first round pick because I saw him do it. Watching him as a recruit against Oklahoma get a pick with a broken leg sealed the deal for me to be a tiger. When I was blessed to break his single season sack record I felt that I had finally earned the right to be mentioned with his greatness. We were able to train in San Fran and talk about Mizzou, life and our journeys. As athletes we can relate to each other through our pain, I just hope he found some type of peace. He inspired me and I’m sure many others, it’s sad to see a legend go so soon. 🐯🕊️ by @stingray56

10 years ago I was blessed to be drafted to the Denver broncos. Being a kid from Kansas City I never could have imagined winning a Super Bowl and being apart of one of the greatest defenses in history. Seeing my brothers and sharing this moment with my daughter was amazing. Thank you @broncos for this full circle moment. #LLDT #LLRH by @stingray56
