Postcard from last Sunday, our 2nd Cà Phê Bệt.

Anthony Bourdain once said:

“Maybe the point isn’t to have a perfect plan. Maybe it’s to wander a little. To eat something you’ve never tried. To sit at a table with people you just met. To accept the unexpected. To be humbled by a place that asks you to see the world differently.
Vietnam has always felt like that to me. And perhaps that’s why I keep going back.
For the street food, the tiny plastic stools, the chaos and the beauty. The generosity, the landscapes, the laughter. And all the moments that could never have been planned.”

The Guest Brewer schedule at the ORIGAMI booth is here!

From October 14–16, guest brewers from Japan and around the world with special connections to ORIGAMI will join us at the ORIGAMI booth for three days of coffee.

Different techniques, perspectives, and approaches to coffee—all coming together through a single cup.

Using ORIGAMI brewing tools, each guest will bring their own style and interpretation to the brew bar.

Come discover how different brewers can create unique coffee experiences with the same tools.

Still trying to wrap our heads around the overwhelming love and support you all showed us last weekend 🫶

Thank you for coming down, waiting in line, bringing your friends and family, and for being so patient with us. We’re so incredibly grateful for everyone who came out. The response was beyond anything we could have imagined, and it meant so much seeing so many of you wanting to be part of cà-phê bệt.

We weren’t able to welcome everyone into our little space and serve you this time around, but we’re taking everything we learnt from this one and will be much more prepared for the next. We hope you’ll come back and join us again.

At the heart of cà-phê bệt is our love for Việt Nam and the joy of sharing a little piece of home with you. Seeing people reconnect with something familiar, discover something new, and simply sit together over coffee and food is exactly what we hoped this could become.

And of course, the biggest thank you to everyone who helped bring this little corner of Việt Nam to life. We’re so lucky to have you all.

Vẫn chưa hết bất ngờ vì tình cảm và sự ủng hộ mọi người dành cho cà-phê bệt cuối tuần vừa rồi 🫶

Cảm ơn mọi người đã ghé qua, xếp hàng, chờ đợi và dành thời gian đến với tụi mình. Tụi mình thật sự rất biết ơn vì có nhiều người đến ủng hộ hơn cả những gì tụi mình có thể tưởng tượng.

Lần này tụi mình chưa thể đón tiếp và phục vụ được hết tất cả mọi người, nhưng tụi mình sẽ chuẩn bị kỹ hơn cho lần tới. Hy vọng mọi người sẽ quay lại chơi với tụi mình nhé ạ.

Điều tụi mình vui nhất là được mang một chút Việt Nam đến Sydney, để những ai nhớ nhà có thể tìm thấy một chút gì đó quen thuộc, và những ai chưa biết thì có thể cùng tụi mình trải nghiệm.
