Super grateful to Bernheim Forest and Arboretum @bernheimforest for lending this magnificent sycamore to carry 'All Is Full of Love' for one beautiful night at Bernheim CONNECT 2025 ✨️

Making art with the vastly talented and visionary Web Richards @thewebhasnoweaver --and love of my life-- is the deepest honor and privilege of my lifetime.

'All Is Full of Love' is a 25' x 13' upcycled fabric sculpture laboriously and lovingly created by Web, with light elements by me. taken in Bernheim Forest and Arboretum by @stivan_widick

Outdoor, by the river, under the disc

Super grateful to perform my live projection piece ‘Liminal Water’ as a triptych of one performance and two projected works under the disc at the Big Four Bridge as Flanger Magazine @flangermagazine played an improvised experimental exploration of their album ‘After the Bend’.

Sora Kim’s ‘Turtle Walk’ (2010) and Katinka Bock’s ‘Couler un tas de pierres’ (2007) were also projected as the primary works on this second stop in the ‘Portals, Pathways, and the Space Between Us’ traveling outdoor popup exhibition curated by Sso-Rha Kang @kangssorha and organized by KADIST @kadistkadist, The Carnegie @thecarnegie, and KMAC @kmacmuseum.

The event was wonderful, moving, and fun, and I loved seeing so many people brave the wet weather to enjoy it.

My deep appreciation goes to Joey Yates @joeeyates and Sso-Rha Kang for the wonderful collaboration, my partner at dreaMachine transmissions, David Jester @mimicvisuals, for our earliest fiddlings on the piece, and Waterfront Park for making it all possible in such a magickal space.

"The Womb of Creation" is the first installation you encounter as you enter the exhibition "The Commonwealth: Divided We Fall" at the Frazier History Museum.

Collaboratively designed and created by Infinity Productions, dreaMachine transmissions, and Think Brothers, this immersive experiential space evokes the sights and sounds of pre-settlement natural Kentucky, as well as touches on the origin stories of the Shawnee, Cherokee, and Chickasaw peoples.

Hand-drawn, animated native fish and turtle species as well as crawdads populate a river bottom projected onto the floor. In the center of the space a large multifaceted tree rises to the canopy of lush foliage comprised of leaves from many different Kentucky trees. An illuminated and animated diorama, along with paintings on the walls, further depict local plants and wildlife. Sounds of nature and recordings from local tribal leaders complete the feel of this world.

When someone enters the space it responds to their presence. Native fish scatter underfoot with a splash, the water ripples, and lights twinkle with increasing excitement across the facets of the great tree. Step up to the large display showing origin story animations and an indigenous speaker begins telling you about some of these beliefs and mythology.

Go see it at The Frazier History Museum on Museum Row in the historic West Main District of downtown Louisville.

🦪 Mutha of Pearl 🦪
A sustainable wearable sculpture by @thewebhasnoweaver in collaboration with @stivan_widick for @kmaccouture 🕸️

Taking inspiration from the book “The Body Keeps The Score” by Bessel van der Kolk, this garment reacts to the emotional changes of the wearer by shifting in color and pulsing with the heartbeat, illustrating how our inner worlds affect our physical bodies. Through juxtaposing up-cycled vintage silk wedding gowns with the modern technology of programmed fiber optics, our garment fuses the past and present, speaking to the ways intergenerational trauma can persist and manifest across time.

Just as an oyster reacts to trauma by slowly secreting layers of aragonite and conchiolin to someday create a beautiful pearl, we as artists aim to heal through transforming trauma into objects of beauty & light 🌟
