I realized I’ve never really given y’all a proper warning about what happens around here. 😂

There will be motherhood. There will be me figuring myself out in real time. There will be regular life treated like it deserves a production budget. There will probably be food, an unnecessary amount of pictures, something I thought was funny, and whatever creative idea has taken over my brain that week.

I’m raising three boys while still figuring out who I am in every new version of myself. Motherhood has changed me, but it hasn’t erased everything else that makes me me.

So if you’re somewhere in the middle of raising babies, raising yourself, finding beauty in regular life, and figuring it out as you go… you’ll probably like it here. 😂💜

Three pregnancies, three maternity shoots, and three completely different versions of me.

Looking back at these pictures, I can see so much more than my body changing. I can see the woman I was becoming each time. Becoming a mother. Becoming more sure of myself. Becoming softer with myself.

What I love most is that I didn’t know any of that while I was living it. I was just documenting myself in that season, not realizing that one day I’d be able to put these pictures beside each other and actually see the evolution.

Maybe that’s one of the beautiful things about becoming. You don’t always notice it while it’s happening. Sometimes you have to look back to realize just how much of you has changed.

And after three babies, I still don’t think I’ve arrived at some final version of myself.

I’m still becoming. 💜

I used to think having a full life meant I needed to move faster. Get more done. Stay ahead. Make the most of every minute.

Lately, I’ve been realizing I don’t actually want to rush through a life I worked so hard to build. Some days are busy. Some days I get a lot done. Some days I don’t. But I want to actually be here for all of it.

I think that’s something I’m still learning.

Three kids later and whew… the list of things I simply do not have the capacity to care about anymore has gotten LONG. 😂

Perfect house. Perfect schedule. Everybody understanding my decisions. Saying yes just because I technically could. Yeah… no. 😂

Motherhood has taught me that protecting my peace, my time, and who I am outside of being somebody’s mom matters too. 💜

Somewhere between baby number one and baby number three, I stopped feeling like every “I can’t make it” needed a full explanation. 😂

If I can come, I’m coming. If I can’t, I can’t. And if the invitation is kid-friendly, there is a VERY good chance I’m pulling up with the whole crew.

It’s not personal. Life just requires a little more coordination over here these days, and I’ve stopped feeling guilty about that.

Three kids taught me that I don’t have to justify every decision I make with my time. Sometimes “I can’t make it” is the whole sentence. 💜
