Yesterday, the Brothers of S.T. Kendall Lodge No. 153 partnered with the BRSC Community Outreach Center to create an unforgettable birthday celebration for Jabril Carroll. Jabril, a brave young man, is battling DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a rare and aggressive brain tumor that primarily affects children. Despite the challenges, Jabril’s spirit shines bright, and the community came together to bring joy to his special day.

The event was filled with laughter, games, and heartfelt moments, demonstrating the power of community and compassion. A big thank you to everyone who made this day possible, showing that together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

We'd also like to send a very special shoutout to:

Yesterday, the Brothers of S.T. Kendall Lodge No. 153 had the profound honor of catering and serving the esteemed veterans of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. This event, which we’ve been passionately trying to coordinate for years, finally came to fruition after months of meticulous planning. With many of our Brothers being veterans themselves, this initiative was exceptionally close to our hearts.

The day was a tremendous success filled with heartfelt moments, camaraderie, and a deep sense of gratitude. We are already eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

We believe it is our duty and privilege to support and care for our military veterans, many of whom often feel neglected. These brave men and women have sacrificed so much for our freedoms, and it’s our responsibility to ensure they feel appreciated and cared for. By showing our gratitude and providing support, we can make a positive impact on their lives.

A very special shoutout goes to Senator Arthur Ellis (Senator Arthur Ellis) and Charles County Commissioner Ralph Patterson (Ralph Patterson II) for gracing us with their presence and adding to the significance of this event. Your support and participation were invaluable and deeply appreciated.

Last and certainly not least, we’d like to thank Olive Garden of Waldorf, MD and their generous staff for helping make this event a success.

Today the brothers of S.T. Kendall Lodge No. 153 partnered with the BRSC Community Center for their Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution.
With the combined effort of brothers, volunteers, and community partners, we were able to support 323 individuals across 100 households—ensuring families in our community have a warm and plentiful meal for the holiday season.

Moments like this highlight what service truly means: showing up with purpose, lending a hand where it’s needed most, and living out the principles we pledge to uphold as Masons.

A heartfelt thank-you to every brother who participated, the dedicated BRSC staff, and all who contributed to making today a success. Your commitment turned a simple distribution into a meaningful act of care.

Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and abundant Thanksgiving. 🦃💙

🎉 Happy Founders Day to all members and supporters of Prince Hall Freemasonry! 🎉

On this day, March 6th, back in 1775, a monumental moment in history took place as Prince Hall and fourteen other men of African descent were initiated into the Masonic tradition, laying the foundation for what would become a significant and enduring branch of Freemasonry. These men later organized African Lodge No. 1 on July 3, 1775. In 1784 they petitioned the Grand Lodge of England for a charter; it was granted and African Lodge No. 1 became African Lodge No. 459 of Boston, Massachusetts. This organization laid the foundation for African American citizenship, education, and for the improvement of the condition of blacks.

Prince Hall Freemasonry has since been a beacon of enlightenment, brotherhood, and community service, advocating for freedom, education, and equality. Its members have continued to uphold the proud legacy of Prince Hall, making positive impacts in communities across the globe.

As we celebrate this special day, let’s remember the values and the vision of our founder. Let’s renew our commitment to building a more just and virtuous world, inspired by the principles of our fraternal bond.

Here’s to honor, integrity, and the enduring spirit of Prince Hall and all the founding members! 🌟

On October 6th, Worshipful Master Myles Rogers of S.T. Kendall Lodge No. 153 had the distinct privilege of attending an Awards Banquet hosted by our esteemed Brothers at William F. Taylor Lodge #57. This grand occasion was not just a celebration of achievements but a gathering that embodied the true spirit of Freemasonry—Brotherhood, Unity, and Honor.

In a remarkable moment during the evening, WM Rogers was presented with a distinguished Certificate of Peer Recognition, a symbol of the deep respect and admiration he has earned among his fellow Masons. This honor reflects the high regard in which WM Rogers is held, not only within our own Lodge but also across the wider Masonic community.

In addition to this prestigious recognition, WM Rogers was also named an Honorary Member of William F. Taylor Lodge #57. This rare and significant honor further strengthens the fraternal ties between our Lodges and highlights the deep bond that unites all Freemasons in their commitment to building a better world.

We extend our warmest congratulations to WM Rogers for these well-deserved accolades. His dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the principles of Freemasonry continue to inspire us all. This is not only a recognition of his personal achievements but also a celebration of the shared values that bind our Craft together.

Let us all take a moment to reflect on the power of Brotherhood and the importance of supporting and uplifting one another on this noble journey.

Together, we build. Together, we grow.
