67 years ago, the Cuban people stood up, threw off their chains, and fought for a better society. By abolishing capitalism, the Revolution lifted millions out of poverty, and achieved free healthcare, housing, and education 🇨🇺

The US government intends to reverse those gains, to turn Cuba back into an extraction colony and a playground for the Epstein class.

The only way forward, the only way to free our Cuban brothers and sisters, is to overthrow US imperialism for good, and fight for a world socialist revolution!

This Saturday, the St. Louis section of the Revolutionary Communists of America will be hosting a rally to show solidarity with the proletarian masses of Cuba.

Nearly 70 years ago, Cuba threw off the chains of capitalism by nationalizing their major industries and introducing a planned economy. This has resulted in free and universal education, a life expectancy higher than the US's, literacy rates higher than the US, and a higher ratio of doctors in their population than any other country.

Those gains and others are in danger as American imperialists attempt to strangle Cuba with an oil blockade. Will you join us on Saturday to demand an end to this manufactured humanitarian crisis?

T-minus 3 days until our book event! Local comrades will be discussing a Marxist analysis of the Civil War and Reconstruction eras, based on what's presented in the recently released book Revolution and Counterrevolution in America.

This event is open to all - whether you're an aspiring revolutionary or curious onlooker. No admission fee! We'll be in the basement auditorium of Buder branch library (4401 Hampton Ave) starting at 1:30 pm.

Local comrades used our recent gathering to reaffirm our solidarity with the Cuban revolution and the Cuban working class.

In 1959, the small island nation of Cuba was able to overthrow capitalism and establish a planned economy, just 90 miles from the coast of the largest imperialist power in the world. Via their revolution Cuba has been able to end illiteracy, have a free and universal education system, free housing, and a health expectancy higher than the U.S. Due to the economic, militant, and political pressures put on by the U.S., the revolution and its gains are at risk.

Down with U.S. imperialism!
Defend the Cuban revolution!

All the StL area colleges have kicked off their fall semesters, and in case you don't catch us on your campus, you are ~formally~ invited to our event this weekend!

**Topic**: Reformism or Revolution?
**When**: Sunday the 23rd at 1:30 pm
**Where**: Carpenter Branch Library at 3309 S Grand, in the basement auditorium
**Why**: Is voting enough? Can capitalism be fixed, or must it be overthrown? What are "progressives" candidates really trying to do, and can they actually do it under the current system? Join us for a lively discussion on why we think Revolution is the way forward for the working class!

There is no entry fee, and you do not have to be an RCA member to attend. We hope to see lots of people there!
