Mark your calendars for our Advent Retreat on Dec. 5 - EMMANUEL: HOPE IN AN ANXIOUS AGE
..........
The world feels anxious. Uncertain. But Advent says: God is with us. Spend a Saturday morning finding out what that really means.

Featuring a powerful talk from Very Rev. Fr. Kevin Zubel, C.Ss.R., Provincial Superior of the Redemptorists, followed by an opportunity for group dialogue & discussion. Young adults get their own space to dig deeper together, with coffee and donuts to fuel the conversation. There will also be time for Eucharistic Adoration and optional Confessions, Mass, and a light lunch to end our time of retreat.

Come for the whole morning or whatever part fits your schedule. Come anxious. Leave hopeful.

October is the month of the Rosary. Come pray with us at St. Mike's!
📿🙏✝️
.....
The Rosary is a Scripture-based prayer. It begins with the Apostles' Creed, which summarizes the great mysteries of the Catholic faith. The Our Father, which introduces each mystery, is from the Gospels. The first part of the Hail Mary is the angel's words announcing Christ's birth and Elizabeth's greeting to Mary. St. Pius V officially added the second part of the Hail Mary. The Mysteries of the Rosary center on the events of Christ's life. There are four sets of Mysteries: Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and––added by Saint John Paul II in 2002––the Luminous. taken in St. Michael's Church, Old Town, Chicago by @stmikesoldtown

Our patron St. Michael!
.....
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. taken in St. Michael's Church, Old Town, Chicago by @stmikesoldtown

Today was the first day of school for CPS! THANK YOU to everyone that helped make our 2026 School Supply Drive a success! We collected over 16,000 items and received more than $800 in donations, allowing us to go above and beyond to help our neighbors at Manierre Elementary and Catholic Charities.

An extra special thanks to the Knights of Columbus, Barbara Pope, & Carrie Campbell for making it happen! 🙏🫶🧡 by @stmikesoldtown
