Nasdaq hits another ATH. Brazil goes vertical. 🚀

The Nasdaq closed at another all-time high, while Nvidia also finished at a fresh record as mega-cap tech continued to lead the market higher.
The S&P 500 gained 0.66%, with 10 of 11 sectors finishing green, even as the 10-year Treasury yield stayed above 5.3%.
Underneath the rally, breadth remained weak, with far more Nasdaq stocks making new 52-week lows than highs. Meanwhile, one of the wildest moves came from Brazil: the Bovespa jumped more than 8% and the Brazilian real gained over 4% after Flávio Bolsonaro’s stronger-than-expected first-round election result and gains by his allies in Congress boosted hopes for a more market-friendly fiscal agenda.
Oil also eased, helping sentiment, while investors continue to balance strong earnings expectations against high yields, inflation pressure and geopolitical risk.

Brazilian stocks are ripping higher after Bolsonaro’s stronger than expected election result, with several names up double digits before the bell.
PTC is the other standout, jumping roughly 36% after Schneider Electric agreed to acquire the company in a $22.6B deal.

Broadcom may be the Anthropic play hiding in plain sight.

Broadcom expects Anthropic to become its biggest custom AI chip customer in 2027, while its AI business is already scaling rapidly.
AVGO still trades roughly 28% below its June high, at around 20.5× forward earnings, while the average analyst target implies nearly 50% upside. The trade-off: lower expected margins, rising customer concentration, China exposure and VMware regulation all remain real risks.

Bad jobs. Great day on Wall Street. 📈

September added just 29,000 jobs vs. 90,000 expected, helping push the odds of an October Fed hike down to roughly 23%. The Nasdaq gained 1.19%, Nvidia closed at a new record, and Tesla and SpaceX rallied while Seagate and Western Digital got crushed on Toshiba’s HDD expansion plans.

Nike’s turnaround just tripped. 📉

Nike is down around 10% pre-market after another rough earnings update. Revenue fell 4% to $11.2B, Greater China remained a major weak spot, and Nike now expects full-year revenue to decline by a high-single-digit percentage. The company also guided FY2027 adjusted EPS to $1.15–$1.35 as it pushes ahead with another major restructuring.

Micron wasn’t done 🚀

Micron went from around -3.5% this morning to closing up roughly 3%, one day after beating earnings and raising expectations with its outlook. What started as another post-earnings selloff turned into a full intraday reversal as buyers stepped back in.

Wall Street is already pricing in an AI slowdown.

AI spending is still exploding. Earnings are still huge. Yet some of the biggest AI names are getting punished even after strong results.
The market may already be looking past today’s numbers and pricing in slower capex growth, slower earnings growth and lower multiples.
And rising yields definitely aren’t helping. Higher discount rates make expensive future growth worth less today.
But there’s one problem: Big Tech keeps revising spending higher. So what if Wall Street is simply early?

Micron beat. Wall Street didn’t care.

Micron just posted a record quarter with $54.2B in revenue, $33.42 in adjusted EPS and a $61.5B Q1 revenue guide. Yet MU barely moved after hours. The numbers were strong, but expectations were clearly already sky high.

Oracle finally caught a bid 📈

Oracle is still nearly 60% below its 2025 peak despite today’s bounce. Cloud growth and its $664B contracted backlog give investors plenty to look at, but Oracle still has to get through a massive spending peak before cash flow catches up. That makes the next two years largely a question of execution and funding.

These yields are becoming a problem 😭

Oil moved higher again, the 10-year finished around 5.23% and rate fears put pressure back on growth stocks.
META gave back more of its recent run, MongoDB got crushed after Zuck poached its CEO, while NVIDIA somehow stayed green after announcing another massive buyback.
