I wanted to do a thin laminate infusion test so I whipped up this micro #paipo or macro #handplane.
It’s a 10lbs foam. It’s a dense foam but I needed something that wouldn’t collapse under full vacuum.
It’ll get a full carbon double wrap laminate after I drop in some stainless threaded inserts.
The fin system I have in mind is going to blow some minds…my own for sure!
It’s been a minute since I shaped anything.
I had fun on this.
I only spent an hourish on it. It’s a little funky in the tunnel entry but the carbon laminate will probably fully redeem it. Amen! #Hallelujah!!
It’s mostly perfect otherwise😏
Hoping the infusion is successful. It’ll be a bitchen little vessel.

Had a hoot out at bolinas today. Only third time out on this thing and first time in a couple months. Been away working out of town…
Today was the first time I caught a wave on my knees and trimmed the shoulder. I caught a few this way and couldn’t be happier with the performance.
Looking forward to middle peak bombs at the lane.

Maiden voyage was beyond expectations!
Notice the waterline….shes perfect😍
I achieved everything I had hoped on this latest iteration!
I had a wonderful time testing at the @newportaquaticcenter & seeing old friends.
Super stoked to see my homey @cprenck & special thanks to Rene at the NAC for filming & the @occmen for participating in the maiden voyage and for all your kind words & encouragement! Mucho mahalo!🤙🏽
