🎸 What’s better than a film? A film AND a concert!

Day seven of the 51st annual Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is bringing the campfire folk music from the screen to the stage. Start your evening with Only Music // Snake River during Sarah Hueniken, Ines Papert – and Films at 7:30 p.m., then head to CLVB ’33 for a live concert by A Brother’s Fountain, the band featured in the film.

What happens when you trade music for food, provisions, shelter, and the kindness of strangers? Find out in Only Music // Snake River, which follows Colorado campfire folk band A Brother’s Fountain on a 21-day rafting adventure. Along the way, the band discovers what can happen when music brings people together in unexpected places.

Later that evening, the band takes the stage at CLVB ’33. Hailing from Fort Collins, @a.brothers.fountain has built an audience of more than 50,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with their popular track “Get Your Ass Outside” surpassing one million streams. Expect an evening that celebrates the outdoors, community, and the music that brings people together.

Back in 2024, we had a wild idea. (Some might call it a wild hair. 😆)

21 days on the Snake River. No food. No money. Just music and the kindness of strangers.

Two years later, Only Music is an Official Selection of the 2026 Banff Mountain Film Festival—as our lil toddler would say, “holy cow!!”

We’re a tiny production company, and this was the dream. We’re still pinching ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who fed us, carried us, and sang along, and to everyone who helped make this film. 🙏

What happens when you decide to test the limits and find out just how far you’re capable of going?

In May 2026, I stood at the start of the Cocodona 250 — a 250-mile ultramarathon across Arizona — ready to explore a limit I’d never tested before.

For months, this race consumed my training, my family, my crew and my imagination. Then came the reality: hundreds of miles of desert and mountains, sleep deprivation, pain, incredible people, and the constant decision to keep moving forward.

But this story was never just about whether I could make it 250 miles.

It’s about why we choose to do hard things in the first place.

Because I’ve always believed that doing hard things we choose gives us tools for the hard things we don’t get to choose.

This documentary follows the preparation, people, miles and moments behind my Cocodona 250 journey — and what happens when you go looking for the edge of what you think you’re capable of.

What a magical trip!!! Thank you @oars_rafting for letting us capture this special Gates of Lodore end of season experience. Our guides were AMAZING 🤩 the river was magical, no surprise there. Sooooooper fun shoot last week with the fellas at @thegarageden. AJ and Abby got their pics taken with a rolls Royce and rode in a really fast Porsche of some sort. Couldn’t tell ya what type but it was WILD!!! It did make rolling home in the Subaru a little anti climactic 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ thanks for having us out!!!
