🔧 WHAT'S THE BEST MOTOR? HERE'S RALPH'S ANSWER!
Ralph gets asked this all the time in our service department. His answer is simple: the best motor is one that's manufactured well, has a great warranty, and you can find somebody to service it.
For Kentucky customers, that's Mercury. Period.
Ralph gets calls constantly asking if we work on Honda, Yamaha, or Suzuki outboards. The answer is no. We work on Mercury - and Mercury is number one in Kentucky.
Here's why that matters: when you need service, you can find it anywhere. You're not stuck wondering who can help you.
If you're repowering your boat, consider Mercury your only choice. You'll never be dissatisfied.

🎣 TRACKER SAVAGE 215 - BIG BASS BOAT FEATURES, ALUMINUM BUILD!

We get asked about the Tracker Savage 215 all the time - and for good reason. This boat is amazing.

250HP rated. Laid out with all the great bass boat features you'd expect - but here's what makes it different: it's aluminum, not fiberglass.

What does that mean? It's lighter. It's easier to handle. And the fuel economy is fantastic.

Ralph points out the details that matter: They’ve eliminated carpet and gone to rubber mat floors (way more practical for a fishing boat). Built-in depth finder and trolling motor. Every feature of a big bass boat, just in a smarter package.

This is one you have to see in person to really get it. Come to the store, walk around it, get a feel for the layout and build quality.

We've got it in stock right now!

Here's a maintenance habit that takes 10 minutes and can save you real money: periodically take the prop off your trolling motor and check for fishing line.

Ralph recommends doing this at home - that way if you drop something, you can find it. No ruining your day by losing something in the water!

You'll need a half-inch or 9/16 wrench. Take the nut off, the washer comes off, and behind that is your shear pin (the thing that breaks if you hit rocks).

Check for fishing line wrapped in there and cut it off. Inspect the shear pin - make sure it's straight. When you put everything back, line it up on the bottom of the motor and tighten it back down.

Why it matters: Fishing line left in there, water getting in the lower unit - these things can damage your trolling motor. A little maintenance prevents big problems.
