Oh man.. Where do I begin? After so many years of organizational writing, I gotta go impromptu on this one. I’ve thought about this day in various ways over the years and with it finally arriving, surprisingly I’m at a loss for words. It’s like that stomach dropping moment when the rollercoaster hits the first drop.. you see it coming and have time to prepare but nonetheless, still breathtakingly speechless.

From sleepless nights to the weekend road trips.. from the classroom to the club.. from the relationships to the experiences as a whole.. I can’t be anything less than thankful for it all. I would always make excuses for myself such as I know my limits or maybe some things just aren’t for everyone but I never settled for that as justification when it came to this. In the words of my idol, Kobe “Bean” Bryant: “Great things come from hard work and perseverance. No excuses.”

The endless ongoing support intertwining with the overly satisfying feeling of achievement still has me on an emotional high that I’ve been waiting to feel for a good while now. I’m overwhelmed by the influx of congratulatory messages and uplifting, motivational words I’ve received. Life is what you make it but you’re also what life makes you. Between this life and myself, we seem to be making each other out pretty well and we got more in store for one another. I’ve spent my life developing my mindset, work ethic and character as those have been the tools that have continuously carried me through any form of success. Yourself is the first and last person you wanna let down so I purposely put myself in positions where that can’t be an option.

Life’s experiences are what gives it meaning to live and there’s always another period beginning as one ends so we’re always looking for what’s to come. As I should be taking this moment to dwell and let this chapter ending soak in, I’ve got more living to do and that can’t happen looking back. With that being said, if you get the urge to ask me what’s next.. don’t bother cause I’m telling you myself it’s about what’s now and I BEEN on that, I’m living…
