For those of you who donโ€™t know my story (due to IG constantly shutting down my page) the picture on the left is the previous version of myself at 400lbs and on the right is what Iโ€™m looking like these days-a total loss of 200lbs!!! Life was definitely hard back then. There were times that I felt like I was dying and there were times that I wished it would just happen already-I was super depressed. At the time I was working as a shift supervisor at an adolescent treatment facility working on my degree and if you work in that field you know it can be exhausting. An injury mixed w/eating treatment center and fast food dailyโ€ฆmy weight ballooned quickly and before I knew it I was in the hospital with multiple health issues. It was at that point that I decided to make changes that would ultimately save my life and I am definitely GRATEFUL that I am still here 10 years later. This journey was one of the HARDEST things that I have ever been through in life (and Iโ€™ve been through some hard times) filled with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. I didnโ€™t do this just for myself thoughโ€ฆthe purpose was to show the kids in that program (some with no hope or family to go home to) that they can do ANYTHING that they put their minds to. They still follow โ€œBig Broโ€ to this day on here and are one of the main reasons why I am out here chasing AND reaching some of my dreams. As hard and as painful as this journey was, I am thankful for the opportunity that it has brought me here from being an influencer to a brand ambassador to now boxing on various platforms, as well as meeting some of the GREATEST people in life. To ALL of the people who have followed me and my story, and all of the people that send me messages about my journey giving them hope and motivationโ€ฆjust know that motivation works both ways and I canโ€™t ever thank you enough for what you give me in return. If there is one thing that I have consistently shown you here is that DREAMS DO COME TRUE-you just have to believe it AND believe in yourself. #ThrowbackThursday Taking it back to last monthโ€™s Scrapyard 6th Anniversary Event out in Gig Harbor, Washington. I stepped into that cage looking for something I hadnโ€™t gotten before since starting this boxing journey 18 months agoโ€ฆmy first WIN!!! Getting my hand raised was an incredible feeling but what really means the most is knowing how much work, growth, sacrifice, and lessons went into getting to this moment. I know Iโ€™ve still have a lot of work to do, Iโ€™m a long way from being a great boxer, but Iโ€™m definitely proud of the fighter Iโ€™m becoming. This still remains to be one of my TOUGHEST challenges and moving forward my goals are continued growth, continued greatness, and of course continuing to push myself beyond what I thought I was capable of especially at my old age! SCRAPMANIA โ€“ The Scrapyardโ€™s 6th Anniversary Event!!! ๐ŸฅŠ Third time in The Scrapyard. First hand raised. Official record: 1-1 with 1 draw. The win feels great, but what means the most is the growth. If you watched my first fight back in October and compare it to today, youโ€™ll see a completely different fighter. Every round, every setback, and every lesson has made me better. Shoutout to Coach Joel and all of my teammates at @alphabreedboxing for working hard in getting me ready for this fight. Today is my 50th birthday!!! Iโ€™ve been through a lot in this lifetime and never dreamed that I would made it this far. I could have easily spent a lifetime in prison or even death like some of my other friends and I am just so grateful for the people in my life who have showed me unconditional love. The odds have always been stacked against me from a very young age and itโ€™s been my perseverance that keeps me going and my resilience that just wonโ€™t let me quit. I am thankful for all of the phone calls and text messages but even more thankful for ALL OF YOUโ€ฆthe people who have supported me on this journey and who also give me the inspiration and motivation to keep fighting for my goals and dreams. Big @berner415 Itโ€™s been over 2 years since we met up at the @cookiesharrison.nj opening (which was one of my favorites because itโ€™s my home state) and you gave me your word that you were going to come see me and my people here. Since then I went out to New York to support you for your Shake collab, flew out to Cali with my brother @bigpete831 to support the Melrose opening, and back to New York for your 4/20 sneaker release at @officialculturehousenyc. Besides being one of the biggest brand ambassadors for the Cookies brand here in Florida, I have put in WORK and have spent countless hours and my own money supporting and promoting COOKIES (your brand regardless of who is running it here) and have built EXCELLENT relationships with your growers and the brand owners that you have in these stores and they will all tell you I am one of the best out here representing. The last time you were here was back when the OG store opened 3 years ago and today we are on our 20th store and you have not been here to support any of them. Now I get it, business is business but I came back home from Jersey and played this video for all of my people BOTH employees (who work so hard learning about and then selling your brand products and the PATIENTS who spend their hard earned money on your products, and it gave them some HOPE because just like me they LIVE, BREATHE, and SLEEP this Cookies brand. The 2nd clip is from almost a year ago and again you said you were coming here in May (and you did) and you never hit me up or even stop through any of the locations to show THEM any love. Iโ€™m from that early 90โ€™s era Jerz/Philly where back then your WORD was your BOND. You speak of those kinds of rules in your music so I KNOW you understand what Iโ€™m trying to say here. Youโ€™re coming here to Florida for two concerts coming up and before you doโ€ฆI just want to ask you one last time-are you going to honor your words for me and my squad here? [July 6, 2022] Before opening their flagship store in Miami @cookiesenterprises.hq sent out their team from Cali to interview some of the BEST influencers of the Sunshine State and I was lucky enough to be a part of that process. This interview was conducted at @buddocs_ office here in Lake Mary and featured me and a few other influencers that were hot on the scene. I told my story on how I got my start here in the Florida MMJ community (back before flower was allowed in stores) as a brand ambassador for literally the BIGGEST brand at that time and have been sharing my own personal story trying to motivate and inspire people here ever since! Now a good year BEFORE this interviewโ€ฆI left said previous brand and needed a new hat to wear and ordered that black and white Cookies snapback and was the only one wearing it here at the time. And even while doing brand work for other people, I rocked that hat and told them that one day I would be an influencer for Cookies so when this moment happenedโ€ฆit was so SURREAL!!! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ Now due to things out of my controlโ€ฆI was not able to be a part of the Miami grand opening. It was definitely HUGE disappointment but they circled back around for me for their 2nd store opening in Orlando and we have been FAMILY ever since. ๐Ÿ’™ I am GRATEFUL to have been a part of so many Grand Openings (not just here in Florida but also out in New Jersey, New York, Chicago, and California) and for all of the LEGENDARY people and friendships that I have met and made along the way.
