This should be an interesting week. The calendar is full, there’s plenty to do and lots of cookies to bake. And we thank the Lord for pre-recorded footage because this arm is currently on restricted duty.

This injury was crazy because I’ve been skating quite a few times and have never fallen. I don’t know if it was spiritual warfare or just me being clumsy, but either way, I’m pushing through with a sprained elbow. Who even knew that was a thing?

Like Nipsey said, the marathon continues. 🏁

Meeting people right where they are is why I share—and why I believe vulnerability and authenticity are so important on this platform.

I don’t want to show up as my “representative” or pretend I always have it all together. I want to show up actually doing life.

The world is in an interesting place right now, and I truly believe the foundation of real community is authenticity. So I pray that when you watch my content, you feel blessed, encouraged and reminded that you’re not alone.

We’re all going through it in our own way, but as long as we keep our eyes fixed on Him, He’ll continue to bring us through—because His way is better. Always.

This is for the girls who said yes—and are still showing up in the messy middle, even when nothing feels perfect.

The biggest battle may be allowing the old you to truly die: the habits that kept you stuck, the fear of the unknown and the uncertainty you once allowed to paralyze you.

Keep going.

You lack nothing because you are being led by the One who knows the way. Lean into His Word and trust it to illuminate your path, one step at a time.

I’ve been a little low-key lately, but still working and creating behind the scenes. I’ve been baking, spending intentional time with Dre, exploring the Dallas Museum of Art and Klyde Warren Park, reading, walking, playing games, and growing closer to the Lord.

I’m learning to embrace this new season and this new space, while loosening my grip on the things that don’t really matter. God is teaching me to trust Him through every shift and reach for Him even more.

And yes, since I’m a baker and apparently don’t own a hammer, we hung this picture with a spoon.

Quite a few new faces around here, so hi! 👋🏾

I’m Pilar — my friends call me PJ.

Almost 4 months ago, I walked away from a 15-year banking career to follow that small, still voice and build Stone Table Provisions.

I went from mortgage lender, heels + houses… to entrepreneur, early mornings + lots of dough. And somewhere along the way, Dre got recruited too.

I also went from a house with ALL the counter + table space to a Dallas apartment where we’re making every inch work.

Minimal counter space. HUGE vision.

Thanks for being here and watching us build this thing one batch at a time.

Some mornings start at 3 AM. Some days are LONG. But when I remember what I’m building toward, it hits a little different.

I’m learning that everything doesn’t have to happen right now.

You can be grateful for the momentum, excited about what you’re building AND recognize when you need a minute to just…be.

This weekend I chose rest, time with Dre, and space to get clear on what’s next.

Still building. Just not at the expense of being present.

Motherhood looks a little different in this season. New routines, new rhythms, a lot of adjusting…but one thing hasn’t changed — showing up for him.

From finishing a pop-up, to making his lunch, to driving 1.5 hours for Meet the Teacher…whatever it looks like, Mama is showing up.

We’re learning this new season together, one day at a time.

There’s something about finally releasing your timeline and trusting His.

I stopped trying to figure out how, when, and what was next…surrendered it to God and just focused on being obedient. And He’s been showing me what happens when I get out of the way and let Him lead.

This season feels different. Things are moving, doors are opening, and I’m just trying to steward it all well.

Also, we’re going to act like I don’t have dough on my arm. This is unfiltered real life over here…

God continues to show me how past seasons of my life were preparing me for days like today.

I love baking, I love building Stone Table Provisions, but I love serving the Lord more. So I’ll continue to lay this business at His feet and let Him have His way with it.
