For a long time, I thought I had to defend being single.

The questions, the timelines, the pressure, and sometimes, just to have peace, I compromised parts of what I wanted and who I was.

But God had to remind me that I was never late. I didn’t have to force love. I didn’t have to settle. I could trust Him and let love find me.

And then, quietly, in his beautiful and timely, God did.🤎

Meeting you has reminded me that love can be a place of vulnerability, honesty and peace. A place where you can show up as your truest self and feel accepted, not judged.

For both of us, there have been chapters of heartbreak, disappointment and relationships without the foundation we prayed for. But this is where the cycle ends.

Not because we found perfection in each other, but because we found something worth building with God at the centre.

So to anyone still waiting: don’t allow the pressure to make you settle. Your story doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

Let God write it. Trust His timing. And never lose yourself trying to be chosen.🤎

My name is Musasizi Angelo, and I live and work in Eastern Uganda. Here, I run an orphanage caring for 175 children who once lived on the streets or lost their families, alongside a community school to give them a proper future.
