On College Commitment Day last Friday, our seniors showcased where they’re headed after Stony Brook. Next year they will be Nittany Lions, Wolverines, Wildcats, and Gators...but they’ll always be Bears to us. Congratulations, Class of 2026! by @stonybrookschool

We all know the cap toss at graduation, but today we started a new tradition at The Stony Brook School. Seniors sent their blazers into the air, marking the final time they’ll wear them as we count down the days until graduation.

We recognized our newly appointed Class Presidents, Student Council Leaders, and Prefects at last week’s pinning ceremony. At Stony Brook, leadership is more than a title, it’s a calling to serve others and lead with integrity and humility. The future is in good hands at The Brook!

Last week, the Chamber Singers traveled to Florida to perform at the OrlandoFest Music Festival alongside groups from across the country.

We’re proud to share that the Chamber Singers received unanimous Superior ratings from the judges.

Not stopping there, the soprano and alto members of the ensemble also chose to take on an additional adjudication, preparing three more selections for the judges. They earned another round of unanimous Superior ratings for their performance.

From reading hundreds of files, to committee meetings, to conversations with SO MANY families and incredible ed con partners, WE ARE ALMOST THERE!

Final decisions have been made and boxes are in the mail for admitted students. We are so excited for these students that are about to embark on this new journey of hope, discovery, challenge and advancement, within a loving, supportive, incredibly diverse global community.

We are SO GRATEFUL for the amazing parents who helped us pack boxes 📦 and are ready to celebrate these hardworking, rounded, ambitious future Brookers.

Over the break, SBS students and alumni served in Guatemala, building 8 bunk beds and distributing 15 of them, providing a month’s food supply for families, washing children’s feet while giving out new shoes (nearly 150 pairs), and sharing love, laughter, and fun over 10 days. by @stonybrookschool

What a great weekend at Camp Spofford! Over 125 students and leaders came together for our annual Driven Retreat, and it was an awesome time of growing in faith, developing friendships & having fun. Driven Retreat weekends are always a highlight on the SBS calendar and this year was a special one.
