I'm so proud that one of the sets I made for #MEATmovie was selected to be part of the Aardman 50 year anniversary exhibition with @bristolmuseums

The exhibition opened last weekend and will run until September at the Bristol M Shed.

My set is part of the @aardmanacademy showcasing work by their alumni ❤️

A few months ago I had the pleasure of making and animating Morph at @aardmananimations on a little trainee thing with the @aardmanacademy ❤️

Morph was my first crush, so it was an honour. We also got to chat with his maker, the wonderful @petelordaardman and watch some of the very first Aardman films... pleasantly haunting snippets of early 80s reality. I swear I could smell the stale tobacco of 80s plasticine life through the screen.

From February I'll be a full time student at #Aardman on their stop mo filmmaking course. What a ride.

Mentored by the talented, patient and so very generous @adri_piqueras.

A few weeks ago me and @smooth.anniemator entered the @puppetplace 48 hour puppet film challenge. We certainly didn't expect to win!

We had 2 or 3 good ideas and ended up going with 'Under the Knife', which already perfectly captures the 3 prompts (metal, stretch and under). Our 90 second story follows Gladys's journey in seeking facial youth.

There was a little bit of controversy over us winning, with one of the judges asking if a stop motion puppet is really 'puppetry' 🤔. What do you think?

Go see all the other films on their YouTube channel. So many fantastic films this year, which makes us even more honoured to win.

Here are some behind the scenes pics with our 'Gladys' puppet. She's made of foam, wire and latex and needed quite a lot of baking, bless her.

Gladys is still on my kitchen table and I am a bit scared of her. Does anyone know an exorcist?

Me and Annie met on the @aardmanacademy stop motion filmmaking course.

Happy 50th birthday @aardmananimations

Thank you @petelordaardman and @davidsproxton for bringing us @amazingmorph and (also Nick Park) for giving us Britain's best stop motion characters and feature films. But especially thank you for the bursary place on SMFM26 😘. Here are some very overdue pics from the graduation @aardmanacademy

Happy International Dog Day! Here's 'Hinges' from my @aardmanacademy film MEAT. I'm so proud of how this puppet turned out, especially the skull (last image). I was desperate to create a movable expressive face.. so much inspiration from @archmodelstudio (Isle of Dogs) and Suzie Templeton's incredible dog puppet from 'DOG'.

I had a week to make him during the Easter school holidays. Meanwhile my son had the best week ever living feral in his room with Minecraft, YouTube and biscuit crumbs.

Indebted to Josh (@sculptdouble) for all the puppet furring advice in the illegal corridor 😂

Dog armature @julianclarkstudios
Dog face armature (the cutest ever tiny ball socket joints!) @animationtoolkit

Thank you @thegwenderson for the amazing dog vocals and letting me borrow Hepworth for doggy LAVs.

Disclaimer: international dog day was yesterday 😂 give me a break I have ADHD and I'm perimenopausal. I lose my cup of tea at least twice a week

A4 doesn't insta-fit, but here is the MEAT poster. It looks chaotic and like it's done in AI, but I like it and I wanted something I could Vector easily. What do you think?

On this @aardmanacademy course we've had to take on so many roles including storyboard artist, animatic producer, script writer, animator, director, art director, casting director, set designer, puppet maker, set dresser, prop maker, costume fabricator, cinematographer, gaffer, rigger, editor, compositor, sound designer.. and graphic designer 😂

I'm not a designer (obviously), but I know what movie posters I like and don't like. I am a huge fan of Saul Bass and @noma_bar for their simplicity and how they play with white space and negative space and I've taken this on board and then vomited all over it 🤣. Enjoy.

My puppets got the chance to feel like @prada models for this little photo shoot at @aardmananimations...

Things got a little silly with @victoriabeckham and #titanicmovie poses

Our @aardmanacademy grad films are screening at Aztec West and Gas Ferry Road this week. Can't wait to see how out first audiences respond.

Gotta love a short memorable word. Also, meats and cheeses always pleases. As you were ...

All those fancy, pricey rigs but a bit of wire taped to the ceiling will do just fine 😄

Just 2 days left to finish #MEATmovie at the @aardmanacademy

Poor Lola, it's exhausting moving 0.1mm every 3 minutes.

She's having a well earned rest on a grassy merkin (thank you @fiobittart ❤️).
