Hi, I’m Iris — mindstillness trainer & soundhealing facilitator.

I work with the power of sound. Just as healing instruments guide us into deep relaxation, the sound of your own voice can feel like a soothing soundbath for the cells in your body.

When we learn to express what lives inside of us, we decompress. We give our inner world space to move, to breathe, to be heard. Expression brings us from a full mind back into ease, stillness & relaxation.
Because the opposite of depression isn’t happiness — it’s expression 🗣️✨

Someone recently told me: “Your voice is the sound of your soul.”
That landed deeply.
So… what does your voice want to tell you? What wants to be seen, felt, or heard?

Portugal has been a wild ride so far 🌸🌈🙏

This year, on my new year’s intention list I wrote down I’d like to explore Portugal. I felt it was calling me.

One week later I got notice that I had to leave my house. Exactly on the same day my work project would end. (You can’t make this shit up!)

My life opened up.

Without a plan, not knowing what was going to be the next step. Then a friend called me if I wanted to join a roadtrip to Portugal. She wanted to move there and leave a day after I had to turn in my keys.. perfect timing. Maktub. It felt meant to be. So I joined.

I packed up my life, took my instruments and joined the adventure.
Still no plan
Only faith

We spend one month in central Portugal, staying at a friends land and exploring the valley. After a month I journeyed on to the south.

Little did I know I would end up at a little paradise in the hills, surrounded by so much beauty, living in community, meeting soul family with open hearts, finding a job at @moinhosvelhos where I could practice and share my passions, while having the opportunity to learn, grow and expand every day.

Funny how life works.
Sometimes life has to fall apart to rebuilt itself.
Closing one door, opening another.
And the test of faith when you are in the space in between.
I’ve done this multiple times now in my life, and everytime whats on the other side gets better.

Thank you universe, give me more please!

Blooming with my favorite flower girl. Letting go of old stories and writing new ones. With elevation comes a change in identity. This chapter is just getting started! Beach days do make transformations easier 🐚🌀

First 3,5 weeks of Portugal, staying at beautiful @majuma_valley 🌸🐑🐶🫶🌿

Loved spending some weeks off-grid, connecting with nature, waking up in a olive tree garden, seeing the sheep pass by every day, buying cheese from Manuel the shepherd (delicious!!), getting fresh oranges and eggs from neighbours and feeling the richness of the earth. Eating from your own land is really one of the true wealths. Also loved all the doggos and hearing the birds all day long.

Wat een feestje was het om deze mooie avond te organiseren✨

Een midwinter klankreis tijdens de winter solstice in de Wintertuin, een oude betoverende botanische kas. 🕯️

Midwinter is de kortste en donkerste dag van het jaar en viert de terugkeer van het licht. Na de klankreis mocht iedereen een kaarsje aansteken, representatief voor dat licht. Ik zat te kijken hoe iedereen één voor één hun kaarsje aanstak. En hoe het kaarsje van de één, de ander liet branden. Aan het einde was er een zee van licht.

Ik werd herinnerd aan hoe belangrijk het is om je lichtje te blijven schijnen, hoe donker het soms ook is. Je weet maar nooit wie zijn vuurtje je daar weer mee aanwakkert. En hoe aanstekelijk het licht van een ander is. Letterlijk en figuurlijk 🕯️🕯️

Ook de reis naar de avond toe voelde magisch. Met de mooie regenboog op de locatie als kers op de taart 🌈 Mooi hoe het organiseren van zo’n avond net zo inspirerend kan zijn als aan eentje deelnemen.

Met het organiseren van deze avonden proberen wij ook ons lichtje te laten schijnen.

Some fire on your timeline this LEO season 🔥🔥

Afgelopen weekend waren er ‘kampvuurgesprekken’ op de camping. We zaten met een groep om het vuur, het thema was ‘een bijzondere plek waar je hebt gewoond’ en iedereen mocht een verhaal vertellen. De verhalen waren zo divers en een plezier om naar te luisteren. Inspirerend en relativerend… eigenlijk herkende iedereen zich in dat het een zoektocht is om een fijn plekje te vinden wat past. Leuk om zo mensen, die je misschien wel al had zien lopen, maar nog niet had gesproken, beter te leren kennen. Herkenning te voelen in elkaars verhaal. Gewoon door te delen..

Door de kampvuurgesprekken realiseerde ik me weer hoe verbindend een kampvuur is en dat sommige fijnste momenten van de afgelopen tijd hebben plaats gevonden om het vuur. Goede gesprekken, mooie verhalen, nieuwe connecties, heerlijke muziek, waanzinnig talent, warmte & verbinding.
