POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This poem is titled "nectarines". I wrote it for my beloved grandmother, who Iʻve spent many evenings eating the fruit with. One afternoon, I cut one up for a snack, and inspiration struck as the juice dribbled down my arm. This one of my favorite things Iʻve written in quite some time, so I hope you enjoy!

what do we think of this one, @archiveforhealthartsspirit & @urbanwordnyc ?

'auē ʻo limuakamoku, ʻauē. I wrote this poem back in April during a poetry workshop for the Hawaiʻi Youth Poet Laureate Finalists, of which I was one. That workshop got me out of a creative rut, and gave me this beautiful piece.

This is my origin story, my why. Thank you @archiveforhealthartsspirit and @urbanwordnyc for helping me find it.

Meet this year's officers!

HYTC recently held our officer elections, and these were the results:

From O'ahu, we have Nick, our Chair, Mariam, our Vice Chair, and Madison, our Secretary.

From Maui, Moss is returning as our Press Secretary.

We can't wait to see what we do together. by @storiesof.moss

While I was in DC, I got to meet with @senbrianschatz & @repjilltokuda . I learned a lot about what it takes to pass legislation, and Iʻm excited to apply my new knowledge to next yearʻs legislative session. Thank you both, & #KeikiRideFree2027 ! by @storiesof.moss

In July, I attended the Washington Journalism and Media Conference. WJMC was such an amazing experience. I grew so much. It taught me independence, confidence, and I made friends for life. I canʻt wait to share all Iʻve learned with my community and make a bigger impact.

Come ride Skyline with me! As a resident train lover, Iʻve been dying to ride skyline for such a long time. During a recent Oʻahu trip for a doctorʻs appointment, I was finally able to.

I hope you all enjoy Skyline as much as I do!
