When Tiare was announced Miss World Oceania 2026, one of the first people she thought of was the woman who came before her — Tajiya Sahay, Miss World Oceania 2019. 👑🌺

Tajiya was the first to hold the title.
Now Tiare becomes the second.

Although their time at the airport was brief — with Tajiya departing on the next flight — she was still there to welcome Tiare home and share a few words of pride and encouragement as she begins her own pageantry journey.

Two women. Two moments. One beautiful connection.

From the first to the second, the journey continues. 🌺👑

Anyone who’s been in a workshop w me would probably have heard me start with this gentle reminder that we can feel grateful for an opportunity and also feel proud to be there at the same time. It doesn’t have to be one or the other 🕺🏽🤍

Two years ago, a room of 30-ish @weareyoungpacificleaders Sports Leaders from the pacific region gathered in a conference room in Santa Monica and shared thoughts on what the future of sports in our region, and beyond, could look like. My good friend, and absolute trailblazer in our industry, @storieswithharri , captured this moment before a workshop that I ran with our group to develop our leadership compasses & enhance our storytelling through sport. When I say I’ve been thankful for this particular village of stars since meeting them, I truly mean it. They have our regions interests at heart, guiding them through this next wave of leadership in sports across the Moana.

I know how many of us can get in our head about an opportunity that arrives in our lives and whether we’re ready for it or even deserving — my friends, you absolutely are and I hope you know you can feel grateful and know that you deserve to be where you are in the same feeling 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Have a wonderful day, go be magical n dat ✨✨ taken in Santa Monica, California by @storieswithharri

FOUND ALIVE ❤️🌊

Pukapuka fisherman Pone Apiuta has been found alive this afternoon after 7 days lost at sea.

He left last Thursday and was later spotted by RNZAF aircraft drifting around 450km from his home island, before being rescued.

After rough seas and days of uncertainty, today brought an incredible outcome.

Last night I was honoured to receive the Olympic Values Ambassador Award.

It’s hard to put into words what this truly represents, but I know it’s not something I’ve done alone.

Over the past 2–3 years, I’ve simply tried to stay faithful to the calling on my life through She’s a Ruckstar — a platform built to instil strong values in our tamariki through rugby. It was never about applause or recognition. It has always been about building confident, grounded, and resilient girls and boys.

Humbled by the nomination, and even more so to be the only one in this category on the night to receive the award, an honour I don’t take lightly.

This award is a reflection of the village around me — the people who have stood beside me, believed in the vision, and continue to show up for our children.

But above all, it is a reminder of God’s goodness and mercy in my life. He is the source of every opportunity, every open door, and every gift I’ve been entrusted with.

If there is a “winner” in all of this, it is Him. I’m simply grateful to be a vessel to use what He has placed in me to serve others.

Grateful. Humbled. Still learning. Still serving.
