Yes, generative AI should not be allowed to learn from anyone’s art, and yes it’s unacceptable that human artists should lose work over it.
But I’m TIRED of people asking me why I keep drawing this stuff, “when AI does it instantly and 100x better” (thanks).
I try to create things because I love doing it. Art brings me calm and a sense of achievement. You improve over time, like sports or learning a language. Turning imagination into something physical is HARD! After a lifetime of maths and spreadsheets, I enjoy a creative challenge.
So stop informing me about AI - I’m just doing this for me. And if you’re also out there creating, don’t be put off. We’re still sketching with graphite as they did 500 years ago. AI won’t take away the fact that you put thought into your work, or your self-satisfaction.

I’ve been truly LOST for words going into my 38th year…

What started as a beautiful scooter ride for “lunch”… turned into arriving at my favourite @lostlindenberg and being surprised by many of my favourite humans for my birthday, all staying with us at Lost!
And then, in the middle of it all… getting proposed to by my love @storieswithoutboundaries 💍🥹

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so overwhelmed with love, disbelief and gratitude all at once.

Dario… I honestly cannot put into words the level of love and appreciation I have for what you pulled together behind the scenes. The amount of planning, care, emotion and DETAIL you put into this blows my mind. From the program, to the surprise, to the menus, and don’t get me started on the ring design and speech….. 😭❤️

You made it all feel intimate and incredibly personal. I feel so seen 🥹

My heart is very, very full❤️💍

So one day he finally brought her home,
To the deepest love she’d ever known.
She found her friends by the bonfire light,
On an unsuspecting Tuesday night.
And it just goes to show you never know...
Where the island winds are gonna blow. by @storieswithoutboundaries

If you go down in the woods tonight,
You’re in for a big surprise
If you go down in the woods this night,
You’d better go in disguise
‘Cause in the trees where nobody sees
They hide and seek as long as they please
It’s lovely down in the woods alone,
But maybe it’s safer to stay at home.

I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt, and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
