Hello close friends, loved ones, strangers <3

I have become the primary carer for my younger brother, Troy. My dear friend Kopano @kopano.maroga has helped me put this backabuddy campaign together, and our main priority is to keep Troy in school (he has just started his grade 10 year).

Close friends and family have generously offered to help support and cover fees where possible, when it comes to school equipment, books, and stationery. Still, experience has shown us that we cannot solely depend on this.

Every and any donation / share helps make sure we get Troy the education a young person deserves!

Thank you for reading!

Behind The Shot 01.

Beyond the boundaries that trans bodies are boxed into, there are human stories that have little to do with our medical realignments. These stories are of our lived experiences, those which make us into who we are, those which influence how we live and influence others around us. Before we had the knowledge that we could alter our bodies medically, our transness has been ever present, in the corners of our rooms, during the grapple with our masks, scattered all over the things that we create.

This is Behind The Shot.
A series dedicated to unearthing our divergence in its most natural form, to nurture and empower it beyond the boundaries of the body. I want to offer a lens behind this front you encounter in media and other socialised settings. I want to offer you an informal recount of these experiences, the essence of how I have reflected in the aftermath, and how these experiences have shifted my experience of the world as a transmasculine person from South Africa. This is a meditative document of Behind The Shot. by @stormasfck

this is a creative piece with autistic burnout in mind, specifically the first burnout being aware of your diagnosis status. Would you be kinder to yourself when you crash out, if you knew it impossible for you to function typically in your surrounding environment of hyper-activity with a culture that does not consider rest or diversity?
