I’m speechless

To be named a 26-27 Company Captain is unreal. Ever since I was little and I attended my first ASH convention I had always looked up to the company. Everyone was so endlessly talented and so welcoming. After trying out twice for company and not making it, I felt that I wasn’t good enough. So, I put so much work in that year and I made it. This past year as a company member was the best year I could ask for.

I would have done anything to make company captain. I made that my goal to strive for this whole year. And now to say I am one is so amazing. I am endlessly grateful for all the opportunities that this will give me.

Thank you @brahamlogancrane and @hannahgossett__ for giving me this opportunity to be a company captain. I am so honored to have been able to be selected as one and I will never take that for granted!

Thank you to my studio, @marshallellisdanceschool , for helping me get the amazing training that I am provided with and helping me have the tools to be the best dancer I can.

And I am so blessed to get to work with the amazing faculty, @azuki.u @tovariswilson @sabphillip
@theballerina @alanbersten @lisetteslife @mattjsmith_ @leomanzari #djsmart and learn so much from them!

In @azuki.u ‘s class, we were told to dance as a love letter to our younger self. I’ve never realized how far I’ve come. When I was younger, I was told that I would never be able to walk. Life is full of challenges, you just have to push through them. The first day of this combo, she told us to write a letter to our younger self. When I went up to my room that night, I didn’t know where to start. But once I wrote 1 sentence, it just flowed so easily. When I went into that class the next day, I was pumped and excited to learn more and expand upon that dance. Just like the letter, once I started, it felt easier, not only to do, but to connect to. I kept trying to make it my own and explore more about myself. Then she called me out by myself, and I was speechless. She came up to me and asked “If you could tell one thing to your younger self, what would it be?” I said “Never give up”. Thank you @hannahgossett__ and @brahamlogancrane for letting me be on @ashthecompany and letting me be the best me. Thank you @azuki.u for this amazing class. Can’t wait to learn and grow more! @artistssimplyhuman Wearing the best @tigerfriday @wearetigrnation @tigerfridaydancewear #tfscout26⚡️ #tigerfriday #weartigrnation by @stormdancer.me
