This winter I was invited by @kristaliadesign and @stormostudio to create my own interpretation of the BCN stool designed by @studioharrypaul I explored the relationship between two seemingly distant concepts: technical performance and comfort.The project stems from the idea that comfort is not necessarily about softness or passivity. Sometimes, comfort is trust. Introducing Stormo. Space holds gestures, habits, pauses, and encounters. It is where objects shape the way we live today. For more than thirty years, Kristalia has explored this territory with clarity and discipline, building a language grounded in precision, lightness, and essential form. A history made of objects that inhabit space with discretion, yet leave a lasting mark.Their role, as art directors, of @kristaliadesign and @_mdhouse begins here.Not in rewriting that history, but in entering it carefully opening new perspectives while staying in dialogue with what has already been built. Because design is never only about products. Lustro, a period of five years. Five years may not seem long, yet for us they hold a world within: choices, challenges, encounters. Stormo Studio was born during a global pandemic, with no means but the belief that design still carries meaning, that it can be a political act, a language to explore the relationship between people, matter, and culture. Since then, Stormo has evolved into a place of dialogue and research, where intuition meets method, and where every project begins with genuine curiosity. We have built a path made of trust and collaboration, working with remarkable partners who have allowed us to experiment, to fail, to learn, and to grow. These five years would not have been possible without the people who believed in us: our collaborators, our clients, our friends, those who stood beside us through long nights of work and quiet doubts, those who shared our vision and helped it take shape. In these five years, we have learned that design is not merely form or function, it is a dialogue. It is the ability to observe, to relate, to abstract, until only the essential remains. It is the belief that even small, independent practices can hold big visions. We look ahead with the same spirit we began with: a desire to evolve, to experiment, and to build value through ideas that place people and meaning at the center. by @stormostudio
