This setup is so fucking sick! Dark, glitchy, raw, rough and super ominous. @weareelektron @ericasynths taken in Brooklyn, New York by @storobi

Memorabilia #1 - Untitled . . . I found some very very old cassette tapes, at least 25 years old, full of tracks, demos and ideas I recorded back then. Many lives ago. #electronica #electronicmusic #idm #cassettetape #cassetteculture by @storobi

I really need to properly record these improvised jams: the depth of those moog synths is something that a phone doesn't remotely give justice to. Send them through reverb and delay and it's an ambient trip that can go on for hours on the same, repetitive, simple loop - using a Source Audio Collider here. #moog #subharmonicon #mother32 #dfam #ambient #ambientjam by @storobi

Spending some time with the Moog Subharmonicon, revisiting the instrument from the basics. I haven't played with it in a long time and I kind of lost the muscle memory. by @storobi

I cyclically get to a moment where I seriously consider selling the bass because I don't play it that much. And so I tell myself: "Ok tonight just play it for a bit and see if it's still fun or not"... And then Schism by @toolmusic happens and I'm like fuck yeah I'm keeping the bass!!! @schecterguitarsofficial SLD Elite-5 straight into @neuraldsp Parallax. And FYI: the song changes meter 47 times, moving among more than 12 different time signatures... #bassguitar #bassgram #guitarsolo #guitarriff #riff #shredding #chugging #metal #modernmetal #progmetal #djent #polymetrics #polyrhythm taken in Brooklyn, New York by @storobi

A very simple sequence from the @rolandglobal Boutique JU-06A (actually it's a stock sequence, it sounded too good to not use it) into the @hologram_electronics Microcosm, Glitch / Interrupt algorithm: aww man, this gives me early Autechre vibes, check out the track "Yulquen" from the album "Amber". I"m pretty sure this is not going to me my last Roland Boutique module, this is really good stuff! • • • #synth #synthesizer #synthporn #electronic #electronicmusic #electronica #ambient #ambientmusic #ambientcuration #musicstudio #gear #gearporn #homestudio #studioporn #pedals #pedalgram #pedalnerd #pedalporn #pedaljunkie taken in Brooklyn, New York by @storobi

It's Friday so I cannot tag this as #tbt (I just did it...) but this is nonetheless an epic throw back to at least 20 years ago. I found some old cassettes while digging in my old room in my parents house last summer. Curious selection though: 95% heavy music and then Alanis Morissette being like "WTF am I even doing here?!" #tape #cassette #cassettetapes #vintage #throwback #picoftheday taken in Brooklyn, New York by @storobi

I had a lot of fun tonight fiddling around with the @weareelektron Model:Cycles and Model:Samples: I'm trying to build muscle memory on this beautiful small inspirational machines so I thought it was a good idea to butcher Alberto Balsam by Aphex Twin 😅 An enjoyable attempt nonetheless!!! . . . #synth #synthesizer #synthwave #synthnerd #elektron #modelcycles #modelsamples #sampler #sequencer #groovebox #gear #gearnerd #gearporn #homestudio #musicstudio #ambientmusic #ambientjam #electronic #electronicmusic #idm #glitch #jam #afx #aphextwin #warprecords taken in Brooklyn, New York by @storobi
