What’s your all time favourite fantasy series? Are you a pretty cover buyer, or do you actually read the synopsis and/ or reviews first? These days, I tend to read the synopsis and reviews beforehand, but I’m still very easily swayed when it comes to a pretty book! Do you have houseplants, a garden, or both? 🌿 I don’t have a green thumb (or bone in me for that matter) and I’m terrible at keeping plants alive. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵? 𝘖𝘳 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨? What book has taken you out of a reading slump lately? For me, it was Styx by Nikita Gill (@nikita_gill) I’ve had my eye on this release ever since I finished Hekate last year. Nikita’s powerful writing, captivating storytelling and characters have stayed with me ever since. Styx follows the firstborn child of the Titans as she navigates sisterhood, love, magic and war while carving her own path to godhood. I love being back in Nikita’s world of Greek mythology. Like Hekate, Styx is told in a poetic format. I truly admire authors who can pack so much story and emotion into so few words - truly doing more with less! There’s such a powerful exploration of family dynamics, particularly Styx being the firstborn yet still feeling overshadowed and overlooked by her siblings, and the resentment that grows from that. I also adored her relationship with Asteria. Their sisterhood and the sense of belonging Styx finds with her was one of the most beautiful (and gut wrenching) parts of the book. While I really like Greek mythology, I actually didn’t know much about the Titans, so I really enjoyed getting to explore that part of the mythology through Styx’s story. I’d actually recommend reading Styx before Hekate. It adds so much more context and poignancy to Styx’s character and why she is the way she is in Hekate. Overall, highly recommend you give this one a go! P.S. Now my next anticipated read will be book 3: Nyx, The Night releasing September 2027! by @storylineshelf

What are you currently reading? What do you rate it so far? 📖 I have exciting news - I’ve officially ended my months-long reading slump! I read Styx last week and now, I’m reading Mirror of Infinite Endings. I’m pretty sure the changes in season has something to do with it. Spring is here which means I’m finally out of hibernation. Have you read any dystopian books this year? 👀 I feel like 2026 has given us some really good dystopian releases! In particular, I really enjoyed Seek the Traitor’s Son by Veronica Roth (@Veronicaroth). Everything about this gorgeous @owlcrate edition captures the story so perfectly! The reverse dust jacket especially matches the imagery I had in my head of the world. The first end page is also giving me Mulan vibes (Elegy is just as fierce) 🔥 The driver of the story is the prophecy surrounding Elegy Ahn and the Talusar general, Rava Vidar. What’s your favourite sport to read about in a book? Do you follow any sports in real life? I used to follow competitive bouldering a lot! My favourite climber was Mejdi Schalck, and it’s always a pleasure watching Janja Garnbret climb.
