On October 12th, 1952 Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority was created. 74 years ago at Beekman towers New York, NY a sisterhood dedicated to service that valued the ideals of friendship and equality was born that would shape the lives of young women around the country.

We want to thank Gamma Sigma Sigma for giving us our best friends, helping us become strong women, and giving us opportunities to help our community.

Today we celebrate our history and thank our founders for giving us something so special to be apart of.🐧 by @stout_gammasigs

Today, September 30th, marks the last day of childhood cancer awareness month.🎗️

More than 400,000 children develop cancer worldwide each year, with an estimated 15,000 children diagnosed here in the U.S. childhood cancer still remains severely underfunded.

This month, we participated in the Million Mile Challenge through @alexslemonade , where every mile logged helps bring awareness to kids fighting cancer.

With 11,339 people participating, Alex’s Lemonade Stand has raised $2,435,403! This month, Gamma Sigma Sigma logged 482 miles, ranking 335th out of 2,295 teams.

We want to thank Alex’s Lemonade Stand as we continue to work with them year-round to spread awareness about childhood cancer. 💛

Visit the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Million Mile Challenge website to learn more and donate! 🍋 by @stout_gammasigs

Today we teamed up with UW-Stouts polytechnic police department in the Chippewa Valley Out of the Darkness walk.

We walked in memory of Sergeant Lucas Kinblom, who served as a police officer at UW-Stout

This year, UW-SPPD was the #1 fundraising team, raising an amazing $4,390! Altogether, $51,123 was raised for the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.

We want to thank UW-SPPD for this amazing opportunity to join along side them on this walk to raise money and honor Sergeant Lucas Kinblom.

Today was a very personal day to us, as we work with American Foundation For Suicide Prevention year round. We’re so grateful that we were able to spread awareness and be apart of something so amazing.

If you’re ever struggling, don’t be afraid to reach out or visit the AFSP website for resources🤍 by @stout_gammasigs
