Premiers Anzac School Spirit Prize

During the school holidays, Year 11 student Jasleen travelled through France and Belgium as part of the 2026 Premier’s Anzac Spirit School Prize Study Tour.
Jasleen visited significant battlefields, cemeteries and memorials, including the Menin Gate, Villers-Bretonneux and the Somme, gaining a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by Australian soldiers.

“One of the most meaningful parts of this experience was sharing the story of an Australian soldier and learning about the personal sacrifices made by those who served.”

She also enjoyed exploring Paris, visiting the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, and sampling French cuisine and Belgian chocolates.

Congratulations, Jasleen, on being selected for this incredible opportunity and representing St Paul’s College with pride. by @stpaulssa

As part of the Into the Heart Immersion, our team visited Mirror of Hope, an organisation working within the Kibera community to empower women and young people through practical skills, business training, microfinance and employment opportunities.

A highlight of the visit was meeting local entrepreneurs and visiting small businesses established through the SILC (Savings and Internal Lending Communities) project. Hearing their stories firsthand provided a powerful insight into the impact these programs are having within the community.

Our Year 5 students have been busy with our primary garden in preparation for the warmer weather. They have been weeding, watering, harvesting fresh produce and labelling the herbs and vegetables to make them easy to identify.

Our garden is currently thriving with rosemary, celery, broad beans, coriander, parsley, sage, marjoram, oregano, mint, rocket, chives, dill and spinach. 🌱🥬🌿

We are also eagerly waiting for our sunflowers to bloom and add a beautiful splash of colour to the garden! 🌻🌻

It has been a wonderful hands-on opportunity for students to learn about gardening, sustainability and caring for our school environment. by @stpaulssa

Our immersion team spent time at the Edmund Rice Centre Nairobi, learning about the centre’s incredible work in education, therapy, vocational training and community outreach for students with additional needs.

A special highlight was discovering St Paul’s connections through the artwork and classroom names, as well as receiving personalised bracelets made by students in the Vocational Training Unit.

They also enjoyed a safari adventure, experiencing Kenya’s incredible wildlife up close.
