An early start comes with a pretty spectacular view. 🧡 Member Erik H. captured these incredible sunrise shots of the Club, and we’re pretty sure this is your sign to squeeze in an early morning shuffle. A little member perk worth waking up for: members can enjoy the Club daily from 5 AM–midnight. Grab some coffee from our friends and Club sponsor @kahwacoffee on your way in—we’ve got the courts. ☕️ 📸 Erik Hahmann by @stpeteshuffle

Built by membership. 💛 The St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club didn’t become the place you know today overnight. Its members helped build it. As the Club grew in its early decades, so did its grounds. More courts were added. Gathering spaces expanded. A grandstand, dance floor, and rooms for social activities followed. And much of that growth was made possible by something pretty simple: membership dues. Take a closer look at the chalkboard in this photo from 1944: 5,000 members! What an incredible milestone for a Club that had started just 20 years earlier with six charter members and two courts. And it kept growing from here... By 1950, membership had climbed to more than 7,200 members, with 107 courts filling the grounds at Mirror Lake. But those members weren’t simply paying for a place to shuffle. They were building a place to belong. A place to play, make friends, dance, gather, and spend time together. A place that became part of the fabric of St. Petersburg — and one that generations of members have helped sustain for more than a century. That part hasn’t changed. Today, your membership helps keep our courts active, our programs growing, and this one-of-a-kind St. Pete gathering place ready for the next generation. When you become a member, you’re not just joining the Club. You’re helping carry it forward. 💛 #MembershipMonday #StPetersburg #StPete #Shuffleboard #StPeteShuffle by @stpeteshuffle
