Today marks exactly one year since Chester's passing. One year ago, I was traveling by bus in Brussels when a friend told me that she had seen the news online. At first, I couldn't believe it, but later I broke down and cried like a child. To many people, it might sound silly when someone says they owe their life to an artist and the music they've created. But it’s an incredible feeling when you realize just how many emotions music can convey and stir up within us.

There are songs that make us want to dance, songs we want to sing along to... But the best songs are those that take us right back to the moment we first heard them, breaking our hearts all over again. Thank you, Chester, for all the emotions you've shared through your music.

I grew up with his music, both in the best and worst moments of my life. I deeply regret that I never got the chance to attend a concert while Chester was still with us. That will always remain one of my unfulfilled dreams.

But Chester lives on. He lives within you, within all of us, and in our hearts. Never forget that.

Thank you for everything.
