It was Tina who won that day, the moment she started her engine and left… Tina is a film about a custody battle, not over a child, but a 1990 BMW E30. Called Tina. Shot on a single roll of super 8 film. All in camera. No editing. No second takes. Starring Isobel Akuwudike (Georgia), George Osbourne (Billy), and a beloved E30 (Tina). Tarot’s (@tarot_works ) entry to the Straight8 Shootout competition 2026 (@straight_8_ ). Seen for the very first time at the Arcades Cinema in Cannes, followed by Prince Charles Cinema in London. With no second chances, Straight8 is such a trust fall. So, to do it with such an amazing team was a special experience. A huge thank you to all of you who came along for the ride to make it happen.

feeling friday with a bit of unpacking of the @supernaturefilm trailer with guests, joining @edinstacam ; @jbradburyfilm and @carlottabeckpeccozfilm and @tommerilion together with @sachamerilion - all of whole are involved in the film in one way or another - and finally @mattwakefieldwriter who joined to tell us about his book ‘coming attractions’ about a young lad obsessed with super 8 cinema! all from a windy beach with sketchy signal but that and the tent all held up! x by @straight_8_
