📸 “Behind the Lens, But Never Forgotten”
Going through my old work, I found a series of photos from a handball tournament and a powerful sit-down with my brother Paul from the Chicano community — he owns a coffee shop out in LA. After our podcast, we snapped a group photo filled with La Raza, culture, and love.
The brother behind the lens was Rene Rodriguez — and as photographers, we know that feeling all too well. Always capturing the moment, rarely being in it.
Shoutout to Gil Tejada, the man behind American Cholo Podcast, who organized that tournament for years to give the homies a chance at a new way of life and unity through the game. Real leadership. Real purpose. Real love for the people.
