The 2026 AAU National Diving Championships are underway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Hosted by the historic Fort Lauderdale Aquatics Complex, the event welcomes over 700 of the nation's top amateur divers competing in 1M, 3M and platform events across age categories ranging from 9-Under to 18-Over. Marmeeting was founded in 1985 as an organization celebrating sea-related sports and events. The tradition carries on to this day with World Aquatic's High Diving World Cup competitions. The event debuted in August 2025 with a new concept for World Aquatics high diving competitions where the athletes launch from natural cliffs directly into the Mediterranean Sea versus a constructed tower.

This weekend will mark the second stop in this year's World Aquatics High Diving World Cup competition. The event will take place in Porto Flavia, Italy. The men's line-up includes reigning world champion James Lichtenstein of the United States, two-time world champion Gary Hunt of France and Romanian duo Constantin Popovici and Catalin-Petru Preda. Catalin was the winner of the first stop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. The women's competition will feature five-time world champion Rhiannan Iffland of Australia, Fort Lauderdale's winner Iris Schmidbauer of Germany and two-time World Aquatic's Championship Silver medallist Molly Carlson of Canada.

Held annually on June 23 and known worldwide as Olympic Day, the USOPC worked in partnership with the International Olympic Committee and International Paralympic Committee to recognize the day as Olympic & Paralympic Day in the United States beginning in 2020. The day celebrates fitness, well-being, sport culture and educational opportunities, while promoting the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect, and the Paralympic values of determination, inspiration, courage and equality. The 2026 USA stop on this year's @RedBullCliffDiving Series did not disappoint! The series and its divers had 2 days of beautiful, stateside Summer weather for its first ever stop in the St. Pete Beach area of southern Florida. The stunning backdrop of picturesque St. Petersburg drew a great crowd of boats and spectators alike to the bay. The series topped off the experience with both the men's and women's podium featuring American athletes on top!

German triathlete Rico Bogen became a back-to-back champion at this weekend's Sokin T100 San Francisco Triathlon.
Racing on the iconic Escape From Alcatraz course, Bogen demolished the rest of the field on the bike and then held off Lasse Nygaard Priester on the run. Priester impressing with a superb race to finish second on his T100 debut and complete a German one-two ahead of PTO World #1 Hayden Wilde who finished in third place.

The win puts Bogen third in the T100 Race To Qatar behind Jake Birtwhistle (AUS) and Hayden Wilde (NZL), with two races down and three to go. Athletes are able to choose their best three finishes plus the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final. Next up for the men is Ekoï French Riviera T100 on September 19th, while the women return to action at the Vancouver T100 on August 15th & 16th.
