Incredibly grateful for this project 🙏🏼

Strange Friends is a project started in 2014 in San Francisco where we organized small apartment and backyard art shows in the Bay Area with local artists and musicians. In late 2014 the Visionary Art world and many transformational festivals in CA and CO was the foundation for a better way of presenting Strange Friends as a small festival and local shows in Denver.

Strange Friends took a backseat for a several years and in 2021, when Podcasts were especially big after the Pandemic, the thought of reviving Strange Friends as a Podcast came up and even bought all the cameras and microphones for it. It felt off and not quite like it was how the project should be presented so it was again put on hold and went back to the drawing board.

In the summer of 2024 it was finally long enough for Strange Friends to have been shelved so full commitment was given to the project to do it as a more artistic interview format.

This is where Strange Friends is today and the goal for the platform is to give artists a way to present themselves for their fans and audience to have a deeper look into their lives as artists and individuals to provide some information that may otherwise be unknown to the public.

There are artists of several different categories and mediums involved to allow for each other’s audiences to find new talent they may otherwise not be exposed to or stumble upon.

The interview formats are done in an environment where the artist feels comfortable whether it be there studio or home which allows the conversation and content to be more genuine.

There is a long list of super talented and unique people we’ve had the privilege of getting to know more in-depth through Strange Friends and look forward to many more amazing conversations as the project continues.

Life is simply strange. Doors open and close while others remain locked or slam shut. There’s an odd sense of peace that comes from solitude when in good company that can be comforting or crippling. Comfort is key. Complacency not. Keep exploring and approaching doors even if they’re locked. by @strangefriendsart
