Aura photography can absolutely be fun, colorful, and exciting, but there is so much more happening beneath the surface. ✨

Every session is approached with intention.

There’s the energy you bring into the booth. The presence required while we capture your portrait. The interpretation of what is showing up in that moment. And then there’s everything you may continue to process, understand, or recognize long after you leave.

I take my role in that process seriously.

For me, aura photography isn’t simply about creating a beautiful image. It’s about creating space for you to see yourself differently, reconnect with what you’ve been feeling, and sometimes receive visual confirmation of something your inner knowing has already been trying to communicate.

I started aura photography in 2023, but looking back, it feels like the work had been finding its way to me long before I ever stepped behind the camera.

What began as curiosity quickly became a deeper calling. Through photographing auras, I began reconnecting with an ancestral gift of interpreting energy, learning to trust what I could feel, sense, and understand beyond what was visible.

After the isolation and disconnection of COVID, aura photography also became one of the ways I found my way back to community. Session by session, conversation by conversation, the booth became more than a place to take a photo. It became a place to connect, reflect, be witnessed, and remember ourselves.

And somewhere along the way, I didn’t just find clients. I found soul family.

So today, I see myself as more than an aura photographer. I’m an interpreter, a witness, and a bridge between what you can see in your portrait and what your energy may already be trying to tell you.

I’m grateful for every person who has trusted me to capture their radiance, bless the booth, and allow me to be part of their energetic journey.

This work helped reconnect me to my gifts, my community, and parts of myself I didn’t even realize I had been missing. ✨

Kaci will always hold a special place in the Strange Hues story. ✨

When my residency at Plant and Stone began over a year ago, Kaci was the very first client to bless the booth. Since then, she’s continued returning for Energy Evolutions, using each aura portrait as a way to reflect on the changes happening within her.

From grounded red, to intuitive blues and violets, to the brighter yellow, green, and orange energy showing up now, her portraits have become a visual record of growth, healing, and expansion.

That’s what I love about Energy Evolutions. They give you the opportunity to look back and actually witness how your energy has shifted alongside you.

Sometimes healing doesn’t look like becoming someone new. Sometimes it looks like returning to yourself with more clarity, softness, and trust.

Juju’s aura felt deeply rooted in healing and transformation. The greens reflect restoration, heart-centered growth, and emotional renewal, while the blues and purples speak to intuition, reflection, and a deeper connection to your authentic voice. Those warmer reds and oranges feel like life force returning, a reminder that transformation can also bring new energy, confidence, and movement.

One of my favorite things about aura photography is the way it gives us a visual moment to reflect on what may already be shifting within us. ✨
